Who handles applications in India
Lithuanian Schengen (C) and national (D) visa applications from India are lodged at VFS Global Lithuania Visa Application Centres and decided by the Embassy of Lithuania in New Delhi. The Schengen application form is filled in online via the Lithuanian migration system (MIGRIS/EMigris at migracija.lt), and national visa forms via visa.vrm.lt/epm. Applications can be lodged up to six months before the trip. Applications submitted at satellite centres take an additional 2-3 days in transit to New Delhi.

- Completed and signed Schengen visa application form (EMigris / MIGRIS)
- Two recent (not older than six months) high definition 35 mm x 45 mm colour photos, white background, face covering at least 80% of the frame
- Valid passport issued within the last 10 years, valid three months beyond scheduled return, with at least two empty pages
- MIGRIS invitation letter number (if relying on an inviter/sponsor) or documents confirming purpose and conditions (hotel booking, tour itinerary etc.)
- Travel medical insurance from the approved list of Indian travel insurance companies, valid for all Schengen countries, minimum EUR 30,000, covering the entire trip incl. arrival and departure dates
- Flight reservations to and from the Schengen area (and intra-Schengen transport if visiting several states)
- Proof of accommodation (hotel reservations, holiday home or campus residence; host's sponsorship via MIGRIS invitation)
- Cover letter signed by the applicant explaining purpose, duration, accompanying persons, transport and accommodation
- Original bank statement for the last three months, stamped and signed by the bank; Indian ITR acknowledgment for the last two assessment years
- Employed: pay slips for last three months, employment contract, employer's approval for holidays
- Company owner/self-employed: company registration certificate incl. GST number; business bank statement and barcode-verifiable ITR
- Retired: pension statements for last three months and/or proof of regular income from property or business
- Minors: notarised parental consent and parents' ID copies; Students: enrolment certificate
- Copies of passport biodata page, last page (Indian passports) and previous Schengen entry/exit stamps (EU harmonised list for India)
Visiting family/friends (incl. family members of Lithuanian citizens)
