How do Indian citizens apply for a Norway visa?
Who handles applications in India
Applications are processed by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi, which handles applicants residing in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Bhutan; documents and biometrics are submitted in person at VFS Global centres. You must first register the application and pay the visa fee online on the UDI Application Portal Norway, then book a VFS appointment (given within two weeks). Apply no later than 15 days (embassy recommends at least 4 weeks) and no earlier than six months before travel.

- Original current passport and all previous passports – valid at least 3 months beyond intended travel, issued within the previous 10 years, at least two blank pages
- Passport size photo (white background), not older than six months (35-40MM)
- Signed printout of the application form / cover letter from the UDI Application Portal Norway
- Copies of the biodata page and all used pages in your passport
- Confirmed roundtrip flight booking with fixed dates of maximum 90 days (do not buy ticket until visa is granted)
- Originals (or certified copies) plus A4 copies without staples; documents in English or Norwegian (others translated by an authorized translator)
- Letter granting Power of Attorney (optional)
- Persons under 18: legalized consent letter from both parents / the other parent, or certificate of single custody

- Memorandum of Association of the Indian company and a photocopy of the first three pages
- 'Proof of sponsorship and/or of private accommodation' form if the company covers expenses/accommodation; otherwise documentation of own funds
- Valid travel/health insurance for the entire journey in the Schengen Area
Family and Friends Visit
