Overview

How do Indian citizens apply for a Lebanon visa?

Applies via: VFS Global

Who handles applications in India

Lebanon visa applications in India are lodged at the Lebanon Visa Application Centre operated by VFS Global, with decisions taken by the Embassy of Lebanon. Applicants can only request a visa with a validity period of up to 90 days. Applicants holding an Israeli sticker or visa in their passport must apply with a new passport without it; if that is not possible, they cannot apply for a Lebanon visa. Old passports with travel history must be submitted with the application. No appointment is needed: applicants simply attend a VFS centre (VFS India).

Visa on arrival, eVisa or visa-free for Indians?

Visa on arrival
Not available for Indian passport holders travelling from India (India is not on General Security's on-arrival list and needs prior authorisation). General Security grants an 11-month visa at the airport to businessmen, directors, CEOs, doctors, engineers, lawyers and others holding a valid residency permit of a Gulf Cooperation Council country.
Visa-free entry
Not available: India is not on General Security's list of nationalities granted a free tourist visa at the border; it is listed under 'countries exporting workers', whose nationals need prior authorisation from General Security. Indian tourists apply in advance through the Lebanon Visa Application Centre (VFS) in India.
