Who handles applications in India

VFS Global is the official partner of the Embassy of Denmark in India; applications are decided by the Embassy in New Delhi. Applicants fill in the visa application and pay the visa fee online at applyvisa.um.dk, print and sign the ApplyVisa cover letter, then submit supporting documents and biometrics at a VFS Visa Application Centre by appointment (Red Carpet business applicants can attend without an appointment). In peak season (March–September) the Embassy recommends submitting to VFS at least 4 weeks in advance.

  • Indian income tax return acknowledgment for the last two assessment years
  • Employed: payslips for last three months, employment contract, holiday approval/leave letter
  • Company owner/self-employed: certificate of registration of the company including GST registration number
  • Sponsored: proof of sponsorship (tourist checklist: plus sponsor's letter and copy of sponsor's photo ID)
  • Retired: pension statements for last three months; proof of regular income from property or business
  • Minors: copy of birth certificate, notarised consent of non-travelling parent(s)/guardians, copies of both parents' passports or IDs
  • All documents submitted in colour on A4 paper; an additional copy of passport ID page for passport collection

Tourist / Non Professional Visa
