How do Indian citizens apply for a Croatia visa?
Who handles applications in India
Croatia has fully applied the Schengen acquis since 1 January 2023 and its Embassy in New Delhi (A-15 West End) issues Schengen (A and C) and national (D) visas. Applications are submitted through VFS Global centres in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad after filling the online form at crovisa.mvep.hr. Applications can be submitted up to 6 months before travel by the applicant (or parent/guardian for minors); tourist applications with less than 45 days to travel (business: less than 60 days) are not accepted per Mission instruction.

- Passport issued within last 10 years, valid at least three months beyond the requested visa, at least two empty pages (back to back), no alteration to data page
- Clear photocopy of front and last page and used pages of current passport and last 02 old passports; copies of previous visas
- Two photographs (35 x 45 mm)
- Travel health insurance (min EUR 30,000, approved Indian insurer)
- Cover letter explaining purpose of trip with itinerary, locations and duration of stay in Croatia
- Means of transportation: reservation of return ticket (VFS: provide only reservations of flights and hotels - no confirmed bookings)
- Proof of sufficient funds: three months bank statements in original signed and stamped by the bank; three years Income Tax returns; copy of international credit card with three months statement; endorsement on passport / receipt of foreign exchange purchase
- Proof of social and professional status - Service: employer letter (position, years of service, leave) and salary certificate of last three months; Business/self-employed: visa request letter on letterhead with company registration papers; Student: school/university leave letter and copy of ID
- Minors: birth certificate or guardianship decision; notarized consent of parent/legal guardian if travelling without them
- Reason letter if previous Croatian visa was not used; letter on reasons if visa was refused by another country
- Documents not older than six months; Embassy may request additional documents, certified translations or apostille, and may call for an interview
Tourist

- Proof of purpose: hotel booking reservation; certificate of paid tourist package; private accommodation booking (copy of decision of competent office in Croatia approving renting); day-to-day itinerary with accommodation for entire stay; complete Croatian telephone contact and address for all accommodations; proof of ownership or lease of a boat/yacht

Multiple-entry applicants must cover the first visit and sign a statement on subsequent stays. Work permit D visa: insurance valid for 30 days from date of travel.
