Overview
How do Indian citizens apply for a Czech Republic visa?
Who handles applications in India
Applicants legally residing in India apply for a short-term (Schengen) visa at any VFS Global visa application centre; all applications are assessed and decided by the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi. New slots are released every second Monday of a month for appointments in the upcoming month. Applications can be submitted six months at the earliest and 15 days at the latest ahead of the trip (the embassy strongly recommends applying at least 3 weeks before departure). Long-term visa applications (over 90 days) must be submitted personally at the Embassy by appointment (consular_delhi@mzv.cz); family members of EU/Czech citizens may also apply directly at the Embassy by appointment.
