Important notes

  • Every Nepali-language document MUST be accompanied by a notary-certified English translation — embassies will reject untranslated originals. Use a Nepal Bar Council–registered translator and have each translation notarised by a Notary Public.
  • Nepalis can use e-Visa (T-class, online before travel) OR Visa-on-Arrival (VOA, at airports + major land borders). Business E-class only via Embassy New Delhi or VOA conversion.
  • e-Arrival Card is MANDATORY for ALL air arrivals — file 1–7 days before departure at arrival.gov.kh. This is a customs/immigration declaration, NOT a visa.
  • 2026 rule (Nepal-specific): tourist e-Visa applicants must show NPR 300,000 (≈ USD 2,250) closing balance in 6-month bank statement.
  • Passport must have 6+ months validity + at least 1 blank page.
  • e-Visa T-class: single entry, 30 days stay, valid 3 months from issuance.
  • VOA: cash USD only at land borders; cash or card at major airports (Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville).
  • Tourist visa extendable in-country once for 30 days at General Department of Immigration (GDI), Phnom Penh.
