Overview

How do Indian citizens apply for a Greenland visa?

Applies via: VFS Global + embassy

Who handles applications in India

Greenland is part of the Kingdom of Denmark but a Danish/Schengen visa is not valid for entry: citizens of visa-required countries need a visa sticker that states it is valid for entry to Greenland (and most travellers will also need a Schengen visa, since most travel goes through Denmark). The application procedure is the same as for a visa to Denmark and is submitted to a Danish diplomatic mission; from India this is the Embassy of Denmark in New Delhi via VFS Global Denmark centres, after filling in the application and paying the fee online at applyvisa.um.dk. One application form covers both the Schengen visa and the Greenland visa; include documentation of your planned stay in Greenland. VFS also accepts residence and work permit applications for Greenland and forwards them to the Embassy.
