About Manaslu Circuit Trek
The Manaslu circuit is becoming increasingly popular among trekkers despite its remote location. The Manaslu Circuit trek provides breathtaking views of mountains, including Mount Manaslu, Himalchuli, Ngadi Chuli, Shringi Himal, Langpo, Saula, and other surrounding peaks. The Manaslu Base Camp is a trail between the Budi Gandaki River and Marshyangdi River and passes through Tibetan-influenced communities.
During the Manaslu trek, you’ll be welcomed by the Tibetan Buddhists with warm hospitality. The Manaslu trek is not only about going to see the mountain peaks but also about the unique flora and fauna found there. During the Manaslu trek, you may see unique wildlife, including blue sheep, Himalayan marmots, and snow leopards.
Manaslu Conservation area has 2000 varieties of plants, 39 varieties of animals, and 201 birds, many of which are endangered animals. Larkya-La Pass, at an elevation of 5135m, is the highest and most challenging point on the trek, where you may feel problems related to altitude sickness. If you feel any altitude-related problems, rest properly and ascend slowly.
Being physically fit is necessary to start the Manaslu trek. During the trek, you will find a basic tea house for your accommodation where you’ll serve Nepali dishes like Dal Bhat. Manaslu is a restricted region requiring restricted special permits and two compulsory permits, ACAP and MCAP.
Your journey to the Manaslu trek starts with a drive towards Maccha Khola from Kathmandu. From Maccha Khola, you’ll start your journey towards Jagat and reach your destination after some days of trekking. Trekking solo in the Manaslu Base Camp is strictly prohibited, so it is recommended that you hire a guide or trek with the group on the Manaslu trek.
