Pokhara Adventure: 5 Days Stupa Hike & Mardi Himal Trek

Day 1: World Peace Stupa Hiking & Pokhara Sightseeing In the morning, our friendly trekking guide will pick you up from your hotel in Pokhara with a name card. We begin the day by crossing Phewa Lake by boat, enjoying beautiful views of the lake and surrounding hills. After reaching the other side, we start a scenic uphill hike to the World Peace Stupa.

At the top, you’ll have plenty of time to relax, take photos, and enjoy panoramic views of Pokhara Valley, Phewa Lake, Annapurna Range, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). After spending quality time at the stupa, we hike down through forest trails to Chhorepatan. From here, we visit Devi’s Fall and the mysterious Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave.

After sightseeing, we drive back to Pokhara. In the evening, your guide will brief you about the Mardi Himal Trek, check your trekking gear, and prepare for the adventure ahead. Day 2: Drive to Kande – Trek to Forest Camp / Rest Camp (6-7 hours) After breakfast, we drive for about 1 hour from Pokhara to Kande, the starting point of the Mardi Himal Trek.

From Kande, the trek begins with a gradual climb through rhododendron forests and traditional villages. We pass Australian Camp and continue trekking through peaceful forest trails with occasional mountain views. By late afternoon, we reach Forest Camp/ Rest camp.

Day 3: Trek from Forest Camp to High Camp (4–5 hours, 3,580m) Today’s trek takes us deeper into alpine terrain. The trail gradually climbs through dense forest before opening up to ridgeline paths with stunning views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli. As we gain altitude, the landscape becomes more dramatic.

After a rewarding hike, we arrive at High Camp, offering breathtaking close-up mountain views, especially at sunset. Day 4: View Point / Mardi Base Camp Hike – Trek Down to Low Camp ( 6–7 hours, 4,500m) Early in the morning, we hike up to the View Point and, if weather and conditions allow, continue towards Mardi Himal Base Camp. This is the highlight day of the trek, with unforgettable sunrise views over Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna I, and Annapurna South.

After spending time at the viewpoint/base camp, we descend back to High Camp, have breakfast, and then trek downhill through scenic ridges and forests to Low Camp. Day 5: Trek to Siding – Drive Back to Pokhara (6-7 hours) After breakfast, we descend through lush forests and local villages toward Siding Village, a traditional settlement off the main trekking route. This part of the trek offers a peaceful rural experience and a different perspective of the region.

From Siding, we take a shared jeep and drive back to Pokhara. Upon arrival, we drop you at your hotel. Tour ends with beautiful memories of Pokhara and the Mardi Himal Trek.
