Day 1 — South Coast of Iceland
Embark on our journey to the breathtaking South Coast. Along the way, we'll pause to admire some of the area's most stunning spots and enjoy both lunch and dinner. The day concludes with a relaxing overnight stay at a hotel, conveniently included in your tour package.
Seljalandsfoss waterfall
As soon as you arrive, prepare to be captivated by the dramatic sight of Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Put on your raincoat and go for a brief hike behind the waterfall, where you'll find yourself in a panoramic scene. The combination of the cascading water's force and the ground's gentle tremble beneath your feet creates a perfect backdrop for an unforgettable photo opportunity!
Skogafoss waterfall
Continue our day along the south coast, you'll soon encounter the breathtaking Skógafoss waterfall. Located deep in a gorge, the Skógá River dramatically plunges down a 60-meter cliff, then meanders towards the Atlantic Ocean. A nearby staircase allows you to go up to an overlook above the waterfall, offering stunning panoramic views of this picturesque landscape.
Northern Lights discovery
Before we reach our hotel, your guide will update you on the probability of witnessing the Northern Lights tonight. If conditions are favorable, with clear skies and a positive forecast, we might be in for a magical display, your guide will recommend nearby spots to view the Northern Lights. Our hotel is situated well away from light pollution, enhancing our chances of a sighting.
The Northern Lights visible season in Iceland is from September to March. Keep in mind, the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, so we can't guarantee their appearance.
* The best spots to witness the Northern Lights on the tour vary, as they depend on specific conditions and the weather.

Don't forget the Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, it's an otherworldly natural beauty of Iceland!
Our 2nd day is sure to be filled with awe-inspiring sights and thrilling experiences!
Optional Ice Cave & Super Jeep
This region is not only a natural wonder but also a popular backdrop for numerous TV shows and films, including the acclaimed 'Game of Thrones'.
Upon your arrival, a professional glacier guide will greet you, equipping you with all the necessary safety gear. Then it's all aboard the super jeep as we tackle the bumpy journey towards Vatnajökull glacier – Europe´s largest, covering a mind-blowing 3000 square miles.
Your journey will lead you to the awe-inspiring Blue Ice Cave. These stunning ice caves take shape each winter, showcasing brilliant blue hues from densely packed ice. We take you through glistening tunnels and frozen chambers, providing a mesmerizing glimpse into Iceland's glacial wonders. With expert guides and proper safety equipment, the adventure is both thrilling and unforgettable.
Please note that we will select the ice cave with the best accessibility at the time of your visit.
Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon
Jökulsárlón, a mesmerizing lagoon, reaches depths of 200 meters, fed by the melting waters of Breiðamerkurjökull outlet glacier, one of the outlet glaciers extending from Vatnajökull, Europe's largest glacier. Throughout the year, enormous icebergs calve from Breiðamerkurjökull, filling the lagoon with spectacular ice blocks that drift southward. This ever-changing icy landscape offers a breathtaking spectacle, showcasing the dynamic forces of nature at work.
Diamond Beach
Across the road from Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, a stunning phenomenon unfolds. Here, icebergs drift into the Atlantic Ocean, only to be swept back onto the shore by the tides and winds. This creates an extraordinary scene on the black sand beach, where smaller ice blocks of various shapes and sizes glisten like diamonds under the daylight. The ice, displaying a spectrum of whites and blues, forms striking contrasts against the dark sands, creating a surreal and picturesque landscape that captivates all who visit.
Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach
Our tour includes a visit to the stunning Black Sand Beach of Reynisfjara, where you'll witness the mighty Atlantic waves crashing against the unique basalt pillars that tower above the sand. In the distance, the cliffs of Dýrhólaey offer a majestic backdrop. For bird enthusiasts, this area is a true paradise, especially in the summer months when puffins, razorbills, and numerous other species make their nests atop these cliffs.
Reykjavik
After soaking in the natural beauty of the South Coast, we'll begin our journey back to Reykjavik. We anticipate arriving around 8pm, though please note this is subject to variation based on weather and road conditions. This day promises a blend of awe-inspiring sights and unforgettable experiences, leaving you with lasting memories of Iceland's unique landscapes.

Special notes
- The appearance of the Northern Lights is a natural event and, as such, cannot be assured by the tour operator. However, our hotels are strategically situated to enhance your chances of witnessing this spectacular phenomenon. It's important to remember that the optimal viewing period is from September to April, weather permitting. In the event that the Northern Lights are not visible during your tour, we offer a dedicated Northern Lights tour from Reykjavik. Should you be interested in this option after your multi-day tour concludes, please feel free to reach out to us for further details.
- It is possible that your tour itinerary may be altered due to bad weather or road conditions. You will be notified of any changes either by email or by your tour guide. But do not worry, we will try our best to visit all the most beautiful places on our journey.

- Optional ice caving add-on: Your safety is our top priority. Weather and road conditions can sometimes restrict access to certain ice caves, making them unsafe to enter. During the winter, our primary destination is the blue Ice Cave, but if conditions prevent access, we’ll explore an alternative natural ice cave instead. In the summer months from April to October, we typically visit the Katla ice cave. If it’s inaccessible, we’ll take you on a glacier hike as an alternative adventure.
- Ice caves are a mesmerizing and ever-changing natural wonder, accessible only in winter when temperatures drop below freezing. Each year, new caves form in different areas of the glacier, making every visit a unique experience. On our tour, we explore one of these naturally occurring ice caves, though its appearance may differ from what you see in photos. Since ice caves are constantly evolving due to seasonal shifts, time of day, lighting, and other environmental factors, we cannot guarantee that the view during your visit will match the images on our website or social media. However, each cave offers a stunning and unforgettable glimpse into the raw beauty of nature.
