Day-by-day itinerary
- 1
Day 1 — Reykjavik - South Coast
We will start our adventure at 8:00am in Reykjavík on the morning of the tour. Once everyone boards the minibus, we will start our adventure to the beautiful South Coast.
Seljalandsfoss Waterfall
Upon arrival, you will enjoy the powerful theatrics of Seljalandsfoss. Bring a raincoat and you'll be able to make the short hike behind the falls. The scene behind the fall and the trembling ground from the power of the falling water make for an automatic photo blockbuster!
Skógafoss Waterfall
Further east along the coast is Skógafoss waterfall. Skógafoss is an incredibly picturesque sight: tucked in a little gorge, the river Skógá tumbles down a 60-meter cliff before continuing down the landscape towards the Atlantic Ocean. Alongside the gorge, a staircase can take you to the shelf above the waterfall for stunning views.
Glacier Hike in Skaftafell
Start preparing for the most exciting activity of this 2-Day Tour - a Glacier Hike on the largest glacier in Europe. Upon arrival, we will meet a professional glacier guide, who will give us all the essential safety equipment (such as ice axes, crampons, harnesses, etc) and will take us on the glacier. After gearing up, we will start hiking on 2000-3000 year old ice.
From October to March, you will have the opportunity to explore the newly formed ice cave. Your adventure begins at the Skaftafell terminal, where you will be equipped with glacier gear. Following that, you will embark on an exhilarating hike on the Falljökull glacier, where you will encounter stunning ice formations, moulins, crevasses, and other natural features. After a brief hike, you will discover the naturally formed Blue Ice Cave. During the months the ice cave is not accessible due to natural causes, we will head out on a glacier hike adventure.

Day 2 — Glacier Lagoon - the Black Sand Beach - Reykjavik
Expect a lot of adventures on the second day! We will see the beautiful Glacier Lagoon.
Jökulsárlón: the Glacier Lagoon
Jökulsárlón is a 200m deep glacier water lagoon fed by the melting of Breiðamerkurjökull, an outlet glacier of Europe's largest glacier Vatnajökull. Enormous icebergs also fall from Breiðamerkurjökull all year round so the lagoon is usually filled with ice blocks that floats South. We will start the morning with the most exciting activity of the day - a boat tour【summer season】 to enormous floating icebergs in the Glacier Lagoon - also known as Jökulsárlón.
Diamond Beach
On the other side of the road, the icebergs from Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon float into the Atlantic Ocean where they are quickly thrown back to shore by the tide and winds. This black sand beach is full of smaller ice blocks in all shapes and sizes, sparkling like diamonds in the daylight. The ice itself comes in all shades of white and blue forming beautiful contrasts.
Reynisfjara: the Black Sand Beach
We visit the Black Sand Beach of Reynisfjara where the Atlantic coastline presents massive waves hitting the unique basalt pillars in the cliffs above the sand. The cliffs of Dýrhólaey are seen in the distance. This area of the south is also a paradise for bird lovers, as puffins, razorbills and dozens of other species nest on top of these cliffs in the summertime.
Back to Reykjavík
We will then start heading back to Reykjavik and are expected to arrive around 20:00pm, though this may be subject to change depending on weather and road conditions.

【Travel Safety Guidelines and Other Precautions】
I. Warm Tips
- Some attractions in Europe offer student discounts, so students are advised to carry their student ID cards.
- The standards for electrical plugs vary across European countries (e.g., plugs in Italy and Switzerland differ from those used in Germany). Please prepare different socket adapters if needed.
- For safety reasons, the law in Europe mandates that children, regardless of age, must occupy a seat. Most coaches do not provide children's safety seats; parents traveling with children under 3 years old may bring their own. However, a child safety seat occupies one seat, and we cannot guarantee that all personal safety seats will fit in tourist coaches, so please take note.
II. Safety Guidelines
Clothing
- European weather can be unpredictable, so please carry rain gear and a thicker jacket with you.
- Take care of your belongings and luggage; our company will not be responsible for any loss or theft.
- Clearly label your luggage with your name and contact information for identification, and in case lost luggage is found, it can be returned easily. If you lose your luggage, promptly inform the relevant institutions (such as hotels, airlines, etc.) and the police. If the luggage is not recovered, keep the police report for reimbursement from relevant institutions or your insurance company (if you have purchased insurance).
Food
1. Hotel Breakfast: In Europe, simple breakfasts are customary. The breakfast provided by hotels usually consists of bread, coffee, tea, juice, etc. Our arranged hotels all offer buffet breakfasts.2. Bring bottled water and snacks for emergencies, especially for the elderly and children.
3. Do not drink unclean water and avoid consuming unsanitary or spoiled food.
4. Do not accept or consume cigarettes, food, or drinks from strangers.
5. To prevent adverse reactions from different food and water, bring commonly used or habitual medications. Long-term patients should carry their medical records for emergencies. Avoid taking medications offered by others.
6. Our company does not provide or arrange for alcohol. Members who enjoy drinking should strictly control their intake during the trip; any incidents of drunkenness, disturbing the peace, infringing on others, or causing third-party financial losses will be the sole responsibility of the perpetrator.
Accommodation
- Hotel Facilities:
- European cities are relatively small, and there are very few hotels in city centers, which are usually small and equipped with older facilities, not on par with similar hotels in China.
- European hotels do not provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, or slippers, so please prepare your own daily necessities.
- Check the items provided by the hotel for completeness and any damage. If items are missing or damaged, report it to the hotel staff or tour guide immediately.
- Due to various reasons such as environmental protection, historical significance, and cooler European climates, many hotels do not have air conditioning.
- Hotels in Italy tend to have older buildings and generally provide blankets stored in the room's cupboard; if not, please contact the front desk for additional ones.
- Hotel Dining:
- European hotels do not provide hot drinking water in guest rooms.
- Please cherish food and avoid waste; do not take food away.
- Breakfast times vary from hotel to hotel in Europe, and you must arrive at the restaurant early according to the hotel’s notified time to avoid insufficient food supply due to late arrival for personal reasons.
- There is a significant difference in the quality and quantity of meals in hotels compared to China; breakfasts are usually simple (German breakfasts are more abundant, while Italian breakfasts are simple, consisting of just bread and coffee).
- Hotel Safety Tips for Check-In:
- Keep valuables securely stored and do not leave them in hotel rooms; avoid carrying large amounts of cash and expensive watches or jewelry. Safeguard travel documents and valuables, and carry a photocopy of your travel documents and credit cards for reference in case of loss. Our company is not responsible for any loss or theft.
- Do not smoke in hotel rooms; fines imposed by hotels will be paid by the offenders.
- After checking into the hotel, understand the safety guidelines, check if the windows can be opened, and locate fire safety equipment. Familiarize yourself with safety exits and stairways.
- Do not casually share your hotel name or room number with strangers. Do not allow strangers, such as self-proclaimed hotel maintenance staff, to enter your room. Always lock your room door when entering or leaving, and check that the windows and doors are securely closed before sleeping. Keep valuable items close to you and avoid placing them near windows.
- When leaving the hotel, inform your tour guide and collect a hotel business card at the front desk. The card contains the hotel's address and phone number, which can help you seek assistance if you get lost.
Transportation
- Boarding and Alighting:
- All group participants must gather on time and depart punctually. Please arrive 15 minutes early at the designated pick-up location. Our travel bus does not wait; failure to meet at the agreed time and place is considered a voluntary waiver, and fees will not be refunded.
- The indicated boarding times on the website are estimated; actual boarding and alighting locations are confirmed by our company (in case of traffic conditions or other unforeseen circumstances preventing timely arrival, our company will promptly notify you, and your patience is appreciated).
- Coaches come in large buses, medium-sized buses, and 9-seater vans. Generally, large buses have dedicated luggage compartments, while medium buses and 9-seater vans have limited storage space. Due to the limited cargo space, try to avoid bringing too much luggage. Our company will arrange vehicles based on the final size of the group, ensuring one seat per person.
- To avoid congestion at attractions, most cities in Europe park buses far from sites and do not allow drivers to stop casually. Violation may result in heavy fines; at times, the drop-off point may be distanced from the attraction. We appreciate your understanding.
- Safety Tips for Bus Travel:
- Smoking is prohibited on the bus.
- Do not carry prohibited items.
- Do not play with any items on the bus to avoid unnecessary damage.
- During temporary stops, follow the tour guide's instructions and do not wander away.
- When disembarking for sightseeing, dining, or shopping, ensure the bus windows are closed and keep your valuables with you; the travel agency is not responsible for any loss or theft.
- Due to long travel times and heavy vehicle loads, if the bus breaks down and affects the itinerary, the travel agency will take swift measures to remedy the situation. We ask for the cooperation of travelers.
III. Other Important Information and Precautions
