Day 1 — Rome - Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere - Termoli - Trani - Bari
Optional Activities: During your trip, your guide will likely offer optional activities. If these activities are available in the local operator's app or through your "My Trip" link, we strongly recommend booking them well in advance to ensure availability. Waiting until the last minute often means missing out on the opportunity to participate due to lack of tickets, coach seats, etc.
Joining the tour at the designated meeting point and time is crucial. Please verify these details in advance, as there are multiple joining points available. Scenery: We'll cross the Apennines to the Adriatic Sea coast, enjoying stunning coastal landscapes along the way.
Note: From May to mid-October, if the weather is favorable, you'll have the chance to swim at Termoli beach. If you're interested, please remember to bring your swimsuit and a towel.
08:00 a.m. – Departure from Rome. Today, we'll head towards the Adriatic Sea, passing through the breathtaking landscapes of the Apennine Mountains.
11:30 a.m. – S. Giovanni in Venere Abbey (admission included). We'll stop at this beautiful 11th-century Benedictine abbey, perched on a hill overlooking the Adriatic Sea and surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. The abbey is built on the ruins of an ancient Roman temple dedicated to Venus.
12:30 p.m. - Departure from S. Giovanni in Venere Abbey.
01:30 p.m. - Termoli. We'll arrive in this charming seaside town, known for its walled old quarter, 13th-century castle, and Romanesque cathedral. You'll have time for lunch and a stroll. How about taking a dip in the sea?
03:30 p.m. - Departure from Termoli. We'll continue our journey south along the Adriatic coastal road.
06:30 p.m. - Bari. Arrival and free time to explore this beautiful port city, inhabited since before Roman times. Its historic center, with narrow winding streets surrounded by ancient walls and dominated by a Norman castle, is one of the symbols of Apulia. The city´s vibrant atmosphere makes it truly special, full of the authentic charm of southern Italy.

Day 2 — Bari - Brindisi - Lecce - Gallipoli - Brindisi

09:00 a.m. – Departure from Bari. We'll continue our journey along the Adriatic Sea coast.
10:30 a.m. - Brindisi. You'll have time to explore this walled city, whose important port connects southern Italy with Greece. Enjoy a pleasant seaside stroll, visit the impressive Roman column, and wander through the charming old quarter.
01:00 p.m. – Departure from Brindisi.
01:45 p.m. - Lecce. Arrival in this charming city, renowned for its stunning baroque architecture, which has earned the nickname "Florence of the South." The historic center is filled with beautifully ornate baroque buildings and churches. You'll have time for a walk and lunch.
04:15 p.m. – Departure from Lecce. We'll continue through the Mediterranean plains of Italy's heel.
05:00 p.m. - Gallipoli. We'll explore Gallipoli, a coastal city on the shores of the Ionian Sea. Founded by the ancient Greeks, who called it the "beautiful city," Gallipoli boasts a rich history with Arab, Norman, and Aragonese influences. Its old town is connected to the mainland by a 17th-century bridge and is a maze of narrow streets lined with historic buildings, including a magnificent cathedral, castle and ancient walls.
06:45 p.m. – Departure from Gallipoli.

Day 3 — Brindisi - Alberobello - Matera - Naples
Total distance covered: 401 km.
Scenery: Today, we'll explore two spectacular and authentic towns.
Note: Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, especially for Matera.
09:00 a.m. – Departure from Brindisi.
10:15 a.m. - Alberobello. Enjoy time to explore this charming town, famous for its unique conical-shaped houses known as trulli. These distinctive structures, with their stone-stacked roofs, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a remarkable example of Italian rural architecture.
11:15 a.m. – Departure from Alberobello. We'll head into the Basilicata region.
01:00 p.m. - Matera. Arrival in this breathtaking city, renowned for its ancient historic center and the Sassi di Matera, a network of ancient dwellings and structures carved into the rock, dating back thousands of years. Matera is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest continuously inhabited human settlements in the world. You'll have time to explore and enjoy an included lunch.
03:30 p.m. – Departure from Matera. We'll continue through Basilicata and Campania, taking in the beautiful mountain landscapes.
07:00 p.m. - Naples. Arrival in the evening. We recommend taking a stroll through this impressive city.
Alberobello

Day 4 — Naples - Capri - Sorrento - Salerno
Total distance covered: 65 km, plus boat trip.
Scenery: Stunning landscapes in the Bay of Naples and Sorrento.
Notes: Part of this trip will be by boat, so we recommend bringing warm clothes. Don't forget your camera in case you want to photograph the breathtaking views. Due to weather conditions, ships connecting Naples with Capri or Capri with Sorrento may not operate. In such cases, the route will be modified to arrive at Sorrento by highway and visit Amalfi instead of Capri.
09:30 a.m. - Departure from Naples by ferry. The boat trip will last approximately one hour, offering picturesque views.
10:40 a.m. – Arrival at the island of Capri. You´ll have free time to stroll and enjoy lunch on this jewel of the Tyrrhenian Sea, where nature, breathtaking views, glamour, and history come together in perfect harmony. We recommend taking the funicular up to the center of Capri to wander through the village's elegant streets, lined with boutiques and charming terraces.
03:15 p.m. - We'll take a ferry (schedules may vary) to Sorrento, enjoying beautiful scenery along the way.
04:00 p.m. - Sorrento. We'll explore this charming and lively town perched on a cliff, with its port located in the lower area.
06:00 p.m. - Departure from Sorrento.
07:45 p.m. - Salerno. Arrival and accommodation. Would you like to take a stroll through this vibrant southern Italian city?

Day 5 — Salerno - Paola - Messina - Taormina
Total distance covered by road: 475 km.
Scenery: Mountains, sea, and picturesque villages along the route.
Note: We recommend bringing warm clothes to enjoy the ferry crossing between the Italian Peninsula and Sicily.
07:30 a.m. - Departure from Salerno. We'll travel south through Italy, enjoying views of mountains and charming villages. Our route will take us along the picturesque coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
11:30 a.m. - Sanctuary of San Francesco di Paola. There will be time to explore this beautiful sanctuary set in stunning surroundings. Don't miss the chance to visit the cave! Afterward, there will be free time for a stroll and lunch in the charming old town of Paola.
02:00 p.m. - Departure from Paola. We'll continue to Villa San Giovanni, arriving around 4:30 p.m., where we'll board a ship for a short 20-minute crossing to the island of Sicily.
05:30 p.m. - Messina. You'll have time to explore the city center and enjoy your first experience on the island.
06:30 p.m. - Departure from Messina.
07:30 p.m. - Taormina. Arrival at our hotel. Dinner will be included.

Day 6 — Taormina - Villa Romana del Casale - Palermo

Scenery: The interior of Sicily, with Mediterranean mountain scenery.
After breakfast, we will head to Giardini Naxos, the first Greek settlement in Sicily (founded in 734 B.C.), with its pleasant seafront promenade and popular beaches.
10:30 a.m. – Giardini Naxos – Departure.
11:00 a.m. – Taormina. Free time to stroll through the beautiful city of Taormina, at the foot of Mount Etna, which Churchill once described as the most beautiful place on earth. Its lively old town invites exploration, and its Greek Theater offers unforgettable views.
1:00 p.m. – Taormina – Departure. We continue our route toward the center of the island.
3:30 p.m. – Roman Villa of Casale (admission included). Guided tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the Roman Empire, villas symbolized agricultural wealth. At Casale, not only has the 4th-century architectural layout been preserved, but thanks to their richness and quality, the mosaics decorating nearly every room are considered the finest of the Roman world.
5:00 p.m. – Villa Romana del Casale – Departure. We continue crossing the mountainous heart of the island.
7:30 p.m. – Palermo – Arrival at the end of the day. Dinner included.

Day 7 — Palermo
Total distance covered: 40 km.
09:00 a.m. – Today, we'll embark on a guided city tour of Palermo with a local expert. Highlights include the cathedral, famous for its blend of architectural styles and royal tombs (admission included), and the Palazzo dei Normanni, a former royal palace with fountains, markets, and gardens. We'll also visit Monreale to see its cathedral (admission included), a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its breathtaking golden mosaics that adorn the entire interior. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at your leisure.
Note: For smaller groups, the tour may be conducted as part of a regular excursion offered by local companies instead of a private tour.
