Day-by-day itinerary

  1. 1

    Day 1 — Fly to Launceston

    Our representative will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. If time permits, we'll visit Launceston Cataract Gorge after settling in. Launceston Cataract Gorge is a popular attraction and a great place to relax and unwind after a long day of travel. Enjoy dinner at one of the many great restaurants in Launceston. There are plenty of options to choose from, depending on your preferences and budget. After dinner, you can spend the rest of the evening exploring Launceston or relaxing at your hotel.

    Day 2 — Cradle Mountain Tour

    Awaken your senses to the magnificent splendour that is Cradle Mountain… Go deep into the Tasmanian forest and experience the solitary wilderness of waterfalls, glacial lakes, rainforest, wildlife and unsurpassed beauty of this World Heritage listed National Park. Discover many walks throughout the rainforest – catch your breath as you first glimpse the craggy outcrop of majestic Cradle Mountain towering above sparkling Dove Lake plateau.

    Day 3 — North East Bay of Fires

    Pickup from your accommodation in Launceston. Arrive at St Columba Falls. This beautiful waterfall is located in a remote rainforest area and is a great spot for a nature walk. Transit to St Helen's and have lunch at the waterfront area, Skippers (self-expenses). The restaurant offers delicious seafood and beautiful views of the bay. After lunch, head to Binalong Bay for a scenic drive and a stop at the Bay of Fires lookout. This beautiful coastline is famous for its crystal-clear waters, white sand beaches, and orange lichen-covered rocks. Visit the Bicheno Blow Hole, a natural rock formation where the sea water rushes through a hole in the rocks to create a spectacular display. Drop off at your accommodation in Bicheno.

    Day 4 — Freycinet Wine Glass Cruise

    Pickup from your accommodation in Launceston. Arrive at the Wine Glass Bay Cruise departure point and check in. Enjoy the stunning scenery of the Freycinet Peninsula and the crystal-clear waters of Wine Glass Bay. You can also spot some of the local wildlife such as dolphins, seals, and seabirds. After the conclusion of the cruise, transit to Hobart for approximately 2.5 hours. Drop off at your accommodation in Hobart. You can spend the evening exploring Hobart or relaxing at your accommodation.

    Day 5 — Port Arthur & Tasman Peninsula

    Your journey to Port Arthur departs Hobart and crossing the Derwent River. Leaving behind the city, pass ever changing landscape as you skirt the ocean and impressive rugged coastline. At Port Arthur, take advantage of the included site talks by expert guides around the main site and Isle of the Dead. Spend time exploring the multitude of restored and ruined buildings and learn of the site's dramatic history.

    Day 6 — Bruny Island Cruise

    Full Day Tour from Hobart for the ultimate Bruny Island Cruises experience. Your day includes return guided bus tour, SeaLink ferry crossing, 3 Hour Wilderness Cruise, morning tea, lunch and commentary from our local guides.
    Depart for Hobart and enjoy the scenic drive back to the city. Drop off at your accommodation in Hobart.

    Day 7 — Mt Wellington, Mt Field, Bonorong, Richmond

    Pickup from your accommodation in Hobart. Arrive at Mt Field National Park and take a short walk to see the stunning Russell Falls, one of Tasmania's most iconic waterfalls. Visit Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, a wildlife park that provides shelter and care to injured and orphaned animals, including Tasmanian devils, wombats, kangaroos, and many more. Have lunch in the town of Richmond, known for its well-preserved colonial architecture and the historic Richmond Bridge. Drive up to the summit of Mt Wellington, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of Hobart and the surrounding landscape. The summit can be quite cold, so make sure to bring warm clothing. Drop off at your accommodation in Hobart.

    Day 8 — Huon Vally

    Leave the hustle and bustle of city life behind and delve deep into southern Tasmania on this popular Huon Valley Tour from Hobart. A walk through the ancient treetops of the Tahune Forest is just one of the many pleasures on this fabulous day out, as is the chance to experience the magic of the Hastings Caves.

    Day 9 — Salamanca Markets (Self Explore)

    Start your day by visiting the Salamanca Markets, which are held every Saturday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Browse through the stalls selling everything from fresh produce, crafts, souvenirs, and street food. After exploring the markets, visit some of Hobart's best local spots.
    **If the weather allows, we can explore the Southern lights in the evening.

    Day 10 — Fly Home

  • Minimum 2 ppl Purchase.
  • Passport Validity
    Customers are required to provide valid passport details either at the time of purchase or at least 6 months' validity for use on arrival to the foreign country. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the booking. In this instance, customers will be responsible for any costs and fees incurred.
  • Luggage
    All the packages are inclusive of 23kg Check-in luggage / Hand luggage 7 kg. You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on the tour. With regards to luggage, you must carry your own luggage from the coach to the hotel room and back to the coach. The driver will assist with the uploading and offloading of the luggage from the coach.
