    Day 1 — Arrive Cairo

    Prepare for the magic of seeing Egypt as you embark on a whirlwind journey into the ancient world, beginning in the colorful capital of Cairo. You'll want to keep your camera handy when you become more than a curious bystander while out and about exploring the largest metropolis on the African continent. Perhaps spend your first day delving into the remnants of ancient history your way. Visit the Alabaster mosque, modelled on Istanbul's Hagia Sophia, enjoy a refreshing G&T in the historic Windsor Bar, or savor an apple shisha rubbing shoulders with the locals as you watch the sunset over Cairo.

    Day 2 — Cairo sightseeing

    See the treasures of Tutankhamun this morning during a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum, home of the world's greatest collection of ancient Egyptian art. Meet the skilled artisans at a local weaving school, a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience. Proceed to the Pyramids of Giza, where you'll see the Pyramid of Cheops, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the proudly posing Sphinx, before returning to Cairo this evening for some time on your own or an Optional Experience Nile cruise with Belly dancing and dinner.

    Day 3 — Cairo - Aswan - Nile Cruise

    Let the dust settle in Cairo as you board your morning flight to Aswan. You'll arrive just in time for a visit to the High Dam, built to stave the rising waters of the Nile during flooding. Admire the beautiful Egyptian architecture at the Temple of Isis in Philae before boarding your cruise before lunch. This afternoon, take to the Nile on a traditional felucca, watching as the wind whips up its elegant white cotton sails. You'll see pops of cerise bougainvillea and towering Royal Palms before returning to your boat for your first night on Africa's mightiest river. You could choose to join a mesmerizing sound and light show in the midst of the Nile River as an Optional Experience later.

    Day 4 — Nile cruise: Aswan - Kom-Ombo - Edfu

    Catch the gaze of Ramses II this morning as you join your fellow travelers on an Optional Experience to the imposing temples of Abu Simbel, his ancient southern seat of power. You'll see his striking seated form hewn out of solid rock not once, but four times, as he 'receives' you before you're permitted to wander through the long and dark passage that leads to the depths of his temple. Next, you'll set sail for Kom-Ombo, arriving this afternoon to visit Kom-Ombo Temple where two gods of Horus the Elder and Sobek are worshipped in tandem. Your sightseeing cruise continues overnight to Edfu, once home to the falcon god of Horus.

    Day 5 — Nile Cruise: Edfu - Luxor

    Ancient Thebes beckons and you'll continue your Nile cruise as part of your Egypt vacation package to Luxor where this afternoon we visit the Luxor Museum, one of the best displays of antiquities in Egypt. Go back in time and see an astounding collection of archaeological wonders, including treasures from Tutankhamun's tomb and remnants from the New Kingdom. You'll feel like Indiana Jones as you walk through its dimly lit halls, admiring the unearthed treasures from nearby tombs.

    Day 6 — Disembark - Luxor - Valley of the Kings - Hurghada

    Your Nile cruise has come to an end, but there's still plenty more to see on your Egypt value tour. Today you'll visit the Valley of the Kings for your next bout of memorable sightseeing. Explore the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, known in Egypt as the 'Holy of Holies' and considered one of the incomparable monuments of ancient Egypt. Then stand small against the backdrop of the seated Memnon Colossi, following his gaze east as the Ruler of the West surveys his lands. Your next stop is Karnak, an impressive place of pilgrimage dedicated to the gods of Amun, Mut and Khonsu. Later, you'll head to the Red Sea coastline and stop at Hurghada where tonight you'll enjoy dinner with your travel companions at your hotel.

    Day 7 — Hurghada Free Day

    What a treat! A full free day to soak up the sun-kissed splendor of Hurghada on your own. You could choose to pass on the sightseeing and relax at your resort guilt-free or venture out on a snorkelling tour getting up close and personal to the resident dolphins. However you decide to spend your day, start and end it slowly – isn't that what beach holidays are for? Tonight, dinner is served at your hotel.

    Day 8 — Hurghada - Cairo

    What could be better than waking up to the sounds of the seaside in Egypt? That's exactly what you'll be doing this morning and there's no need to hurry as you'll have time for a leisurely breakfast before taking your transfer to Cairo. The evening is yours to do as you please in this great city but we're sure you'll want to spend it with new friends after an incredible journey through Ancient Egypt. Your Travel Director will be more than happy to give you some options to celebrate a wonderful last night in Egypt.

    Day 9 — Depart Cairo

    Your journey back in time to a land of powerful pharaohs has come to an end. It's been a memorable walk down ancient paths that have fascinated explorers for centuries. For now, all that remains is to say farewell to your travel companions before transferring to Cairo airport for your return flight home, filled with fond memories of the treasures you've encountered.

* A maximum of 40 guests.
* USA passport holders require a visa for Egypt. A e-visa can be obtained prior to departure (we recommend applying 45 days prior) or a visa can be obtained on arrival.
* Please see important visa details sent with your invoice.
* Porterage is not included. Guests will be required to handle their own luggage throughout their tour.
* Internal Flights: Luggage allowance is limited to 1 suitcase per guest (maximum of 50lbs/23Kg) and 1 piece of hand luggage per guest (15lbs/7Kg).
* For safety reasons, small rolling suitcases are not permitted inside the coach. As our coaches have large windows, there is minimal space to store them securely overhead or under the seat. Suggested carry-on is a soft-sided bag similar to backpack, tote bag, etc.
* Smaller coaches without toilet facilities may be used.
* Occasionally the itinerary may be altered due to seasonal circumstances. Port taxes and service charges are included however, gratuities are not included for the Nile Cruise staff. Gratuities can be paid to the Boat Manager on the last day of the cruise. 
* We highly recommend guests purchase travel insurance prior to your trip. Your insurance should cover trip interruption, personal injury, medical expenses, and evacuation and repatriation cover including during pandemic events.
* The child must be aged between 5 and 17 years at the time of travel.

* East Africa safari vehicles cannot accommodate the regular luggage dimensions and weights listed above. We kindly ask our guests to travel with a soft-sided bag or medium-sized suitcase.
* The full duration of this itinerary is operated by a 4 X 4 safari vehicle, including all road travel and safari game drives. The trip will travel over a variety of terrains, resulting in some rough and bumpy journeys. Guests must travel with a soft sided bag or medium size suitcases due to limited space in the safari vehicles.
* Passports with a minimum of 6 months validity after return date are required and are at your expense.
* Please contact the consulate/embassy and family doctor for further details on medical vaccinations that may be required for specific countries. * Non-US citizens please check with your nearest consulate.
* Day 1 is the start date and first hotel night included with the journey. Please arrange flights to arrive on or before Day 1.
* To give ample time for check-in and security, we recommend arriving at the airport 3 hours prior to your flight departure.

* Each guest must ensure that their passport is valid for at least six months beyond the conclusion of their trip and that they have acquired all necessary visas and permits. You are responsible for obtaining all necessary visas before the departure of your guided holiday. Depending on your nationality, you may need visas to enter certain countries included on your trip. Please note that obtaining visas can take up to six weeks before your departure. It is strongly advised that you consult your Travel Agent and the local Consulate or Embassy of the country you are visiting well in advance to determine which visas they require and how to obtain them.
* Electrical plugs and outlets differ throughout the world. We recommend bringing a universal travel adaptor that's suitable for the countries you are traveling to.
* Generally, check-in times require guests to arrive at the airport a minimum of two hours before a domestic flight and three hours before an international flight. Please allow enough time to get to your flight - be aware that during busy travel periods or at airports with heightened security, you may experience longer queues.
* The weather in your travel destination may vary. We would suggest that you pack layers of clothing. 
* This will depend on the destinations you are traveling and your personal health circumstances. Be sure to speak to your Travel Agent or doctor to find out if vaccinations are required. If you are taking medication or suffer from any form of illness, ensure you have an adequate supply of medication before departing for your holiday.
Pricing notes (children, single supplement)
* Price for Single Occupancy applies when one person stays in one standard hotel room.
* Price for Double/Triple Occupancy applies when two/three people stay in one standard hotel room respectively.
* Maximum room capacity: 3 people including adult and child/infant.
* Triple room bookings are available, suitable for 2 adults and 1 child. When booking your trip, we define a child as somebody aged 17 or under. A triple room is not recommended for 3 adults, as the third bed is often a rollaway, which may not be comfortable for an adult. 
* If you're on a trip as a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children), then you would require 1 triple room (for 1 adult and 2 children), and 1 double room (1 adult and 1 child).
