Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1 — Rome
We'll transfer you to the hotel and you'll have some free time. In the afternoon, you'll find information about the start of your tour on the boards located at the hotel reception.
Note:
- Please note that hotel check-in time is usually at 02:00 p.m. If you require earlier room availability, consider booking an additional night at the beginning of your trip.
- If you requested additional nights, your room will be ready upon arrival at the hotel, but your trip guide will only contact you when the included activities begin. At the reception, you will find an information board with our staff's telephone number and hours of assistance. Until then, you have free time to enjoy at your leisure. The hotel staff can assist you with any information you need.
- During your trip, your guide may offer optional activities. If these activities are available on the Europamundo app or through your "My Trip" link, we strongly recommend booking them as early as possible to ensure availability. Waiting until the last minute may result in missed opportunities due to limited tickets, bus seats, or other factors.

Day 2 — Rome
08:00 a.m. – In the morning, we'll enjoy a panoramic tour of approximately three and a half hours with a local guide through the Eternal City, one of the oldest and most influential cities in Western civilization. We'll combine a walking tour and a panoramic bus ride during which you´ll get to admire the beauty of Imperial Rome and see breathtaking sights such as the Arch of Constantine, the exterior of the Colosseum, and the Imperial Forums, an architectural complex that was the political heart in ancient times. We'll continue to Piazza Venezia, a prominent monumental center and political symbol of the 20th and 21st centuries. The tour will include headphones to ensure you don't miss any details.
By bus, we'll pass by Circus Maximus, the Basilica of Saint Mary in Cosmedin with with the Bocca della Verità (the Mouth of Truth), the Republican Temples, the Baths of Caracalla, the Aurelian Walls, the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran, the Minor Basilica of Saint Mary in Domnica alla Navicella, the Pyramid of Cestius, the San Paolo Gate, Tiber Island, Lungotevere Avenue with its Babylonian-style Jewish Synagogue, and Castel Sant´Angelo.
This tour will conclude around 12:00 p.m. at Vatican City. Our guide will offer an optional activity to explore St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museums, and the Sistine Chapel in greater detail. The afternoon will be free.
06:00 p.m. - In the evening, we'll head to the Trastevere area. As we stroll through the narrow, cobbled streets of Trastevere, we'll discover hidden gems like quaint medieval churches, unique shops, and vibrant local scenes. Many trattorias and osterias, brimming with Italian charm, are ready to serve you local dishes. You'll also find restaurants offering Indian, Chinese, and other international cuisines in this lively area.

Day 3 — Rome

Day 4 — Rome - Florence
Scenery: Pleasant landscapes of historical towns along the route.
Note: We recommend wearing comfortable shoes as the city tour of Florence involves walking.
08:00 a.m. – Departure from Rome (time may vary, depending on the departure points).
12:30 p.m. – Florence. Upon arrival, we´ll stop at the Michelangelo viewpoint for a photo opportunity, offering one of the most stunning views of the city. Following this, we´ll embark on a sightseeing tour with a local guide of this renowned city, one of Italy´s most visited destinations considered the cradle of the Renaissance and some of the most influential artists and thinkers in history, such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Botticelli, and Raphael. Highlights of the tour include the Gothic cathedral Duomo di Firenze, the historic Ponte Vecchio, known for its goldsmith workshops along its paved streets and Piazza della Signoria, the city´s political heart featuring the medieval town hall. Free time in the afternoon. We recommend visiting one of its impressive museums, such as the Accademia Gallery or the Uffizi Gallery.

Day 5 — Florence - Venice
Scenery: Pleasant landscapes as we cross the Apennines, enjoying mountain views.
08:15 a.m. - Departure from Florence.
12:00 p.m. - Venice. We'll transfer to Tronchetto to take a private boat to the historic center of Venice. We'll cruise along the Giudecca Canal, admiring the stunning views of Venice. After lunch, which will be included for those with half board, we'll go on a walking tour with a local guide, exploring St. Mark´s Square, including the Basilica and Campanile. We'll also visit a renowned Murano Glass Factory to see traditional glass-working techniques. Afterward, you'll have some free time. Our guide will suggest taking a gondola ride.
07:30 p.m. - Transfer back to the hotel (usually located in Mestre) from San Marco district on our private boat.

Day 6 — Venice

Day 7 — Venice - Padua - San Marino - Gubbio - Perugia
Scenery: The highlight is the arrival in San Marino, with its fortress perched atop the mountain. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes while crossing the Apennines.
07:30 a.m. – Departure from Venice.
08:15 a.m. - Padua. We are in the city of San Antonio, home to a beautiful medieval basilica that receives many pilgrims, with bustling streets in the center. Time to visit the Basilica.
09:30 a.m. – Departure from Padua. We'll travel to the Adriatic coast and then to San Marino, a tiny independent country surrounded by Italy.
01:30 p.m. - San Marino. Free time at the top of the heavily fortified mountain. Time to stroll, have lunch, and do some shopping.
04:00 p.m. – Departure from San Marino. Beautiful countryside crossing the Apennines.
06:15 p.m. - Gubbio. A small, marvelously preserved city, where the Palace of Consuls and the twelfth-century cathedral stand out. Time for a walk.
07:30 p.m. – Departure from Gubbio
08:30 p.m. – Perugia. Arrival and accommodation.

Day 8 — Perugia - Assisi - Rome
Scenery: Pleasant views of Umbria.
Note: Please note that discreet dress is required for visiting the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi; kindly keep this in mind for that part of our journey.
In the heart of Umbria, Perugia awaits—a captivating medieval city. At around 08:00 a.m., we'll depart from the hotel for a panoramic city tour with a local guide. We'll take the moving walkway up the rocky hill and get to know the historic center of the city of chocolate!
10:15 a.m. - Departure from Perugia.
11:00 a.m. - Assisi. You'll have time for lunch and to explore this artistic jewel of Umbria. Free time to visit the basilicas.
01:30 p.m. - Departure from Assisi.
04:30 p.m. - Rome.
