    Day 1 — Shanghai

    Begin your orient discovery from Shanghai, China's most futuristic metropolis.
    On arrival, be picked up and transferred to your hotel for recovery from jet lag.

    Day 2 — Shanghai

    Start the tour today from the iconic Bund for an insight into its colonial past while browsing the monumental buildings of different styles. Continue to Yu Garden, a classical Chinese garden that has hidden peacefully for more than 450 years amidst the everchanging hustle and bustle of the city.
    After an appreciation of brilliant silk products and its production procession at a silk workshop and a brief tour of the Jade Buddha Temple, stroll from Fuxing Park in the former French Concession to Bugaoli Stone Gate to capture the vivid life of traditional Shanghai. Then, move on to the Pudong district and ascend the Shanghai Tower for a panoramic view of this dazzling metropolis.

    Day 3 — Shanghai - Zhangjiajie

    After breakfast, we will drive about 1.5 hours to Xitang, a picturesque water town with a long history. Here, you will explore its cobbled streets and take a boat riding on peaceful canals to browse the quaint bridges and well-preserved old houses it’s famed for.
    Afterward, transfer to Shanghai airport directly for your flight to Zhangjiajie. On arrival, a local guide will pick you up and whisk you to your hotel.

    Day 4 — Zhangjiajie

    Spend the day exploring the Wulinyuan Scenic Area with your guide.
    Start with an elevator ride up to Yuanjiajie Scenic area and get overwhelmed by otherworldly Avatar mountains. Continue to discover the floating peaks in Tianzi Mountain Natural Reserve and descend to the beautiful valley named Ten-mile Gallery, where you will take a scenic train, have a walk, and then finish the adventure today.

    Day 5 — Zhangjiajie - Xi'an

    Let's appreciate the incomparable beauty of Zhangjiajie from a different angle by boating on the Baofeng Lake. While Paddling on the serene emerald water with towering peaks floating by under the boat and above your head, you may feel that you are cruising in a fairy world.
    Continue in the afternoon to Tianmen Mountain - the mountain of the heaven gate, with the world's longest cable car take you up, and challenge yourself on its Glass Skywalk.

    Day 6 — Xi'an

    Embark on a remarkable encounter with the legendary Terracotta Army. Despite being buried for over 2,200 years, these terracotta warriors and horses retain a lifelike quality, each face telling a unique story.
    In the afternoon, return to the city to explore the lively Muslim Street, a live testament of the ancient Silk Road.

    Day 7 — Xi'an - Beijing

    Open an energetic day by playing Tai Chi, following a local master. Then, cycle on the Ancient City Wall, the largest and best-preserved city wall in China today, and overlook the old part of Xi'an.
    In the afternoon, take the high-speed train (about 4.5-6 hours) to Beijing. Once you arrive, your guide there will pick you up and escort you to your hotel.

    Day 8 — Beijing

    Start your discovery of Beijing at Tiananmen Square, a pivotal political landmark in modern China. Follow this with a visit to the awe-inspiring Forbidden City, a 600-year-old imperial citadel of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, brimming with architectural wonders and captivating stories of the royal families. After an authentic Chinese lunch, stroll through old Beijing's Hutongs and enjoy a nostalgic rickshaw ride.

    Day 9 — Beijing

    Begin your day at the Temple of Heaven, where you'll admire its graceful architecture and observe locals engaging in morning exercises such as Tai Chi, sword dancing, and calligraphy.
    Afterward, embark on a two-hour drive to the awe-inspiring Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. With a cable car up and down, you will have more time and energy to hike along the ancient rampart to take in its commanding surroundings.
