Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1 — Beijing
Welcome to China. Once your flight lands at the airport, your private tour guide will greet you with a warm smile, holding a sign with your name on it. It will take about an hour from the airport to the downtown hotel. Along the way, your guide will give you a brief introduction of Beijing. After settling down at the hotel, enjoy some free time to recover from the long journey.

Day 2 — Beijing
Today, you will visit the Tiananmen Square, followed by the Forbidden City. You can spend some time exploring the three main palaces on the central axis as well as some other places and imagine how Chinese royal members lived in ancient times. Afterward, visit Jingshan Park and climb up to the artificial Coal Hill, where you can enjoy the full view of the grand royal building complex of the Forbidden City.

Day 3 — Beijing
The Great Wall is the first stop of your today’s tour. To give you a better experience, we will arrange the less crowded Great Wall at Mutianyu for you, which will take you about 2 hours on the road. It is also one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, and a round-way cable car makes it easy and safe for you and your kids to get up and down. When standing on the top, you can do some moderate hiking further up to enjoy the majestic landscape. Later on, visit Changling Tomb and a jade store before going back to the city.

Day 4 — Beijing - Xi'an
This morning you're going to visit the elegant Temple of Heaven, where you can see how local people enrich their daily lives after retirement and even follow a master to play Chinese Taichi. As one of the Chinese martial arts and known for being practiced with relatively slow movements, it is easy to learn. In the afternoon, take 5 to 6 hours' high-speed train to Xi'an. Upon your arrival in the early evening, be picked up and transferred to your hotel.

Day 5 — Xi'an
Today's highlight is the awe-inspiring Terracotta Warriors. With thousands of lifelike clay soldiers, horses and chariots, there is plenty of time to marvel at the magnificent display. The interesting thing is that you will find that each statue of the soldier is unique. They're all from the original image of the Qin people used to be like. You can even know their different stories when you look at their faces. Make a stopover at the Art Ceramics Factory and then drive back to the city. Continue to visit the Tang dynasty culture and indulge in a joyful and relaxing experience.

Day 6 — Xi'an - Chengdu
This morning, you will visit Xi'an City Wall, where you can walk or cycle along the walls (extra charge). Then head to the Drum Tower and enjoy a chime bell performance.
In the afternoon, proceed to Chengdu by 4 hours' high-speed train. On arrival, be met and taken to your hotel. The rest is for you at leisure.

Day 7 — Chengdu
The panda is a kind of lazy creature that is usually more active before 10:00 am, so you can start a little earlier to encounter them and enjoy their breakfast and playing time. Day 8 — Chengdu - Guilin
After breakfast, be escorted to the airport for your flight to Guilin. On arrival, your guide in Guilin will pick you up and transfer you to the city. Day 9 — Guilin - Yangshuo
The Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo is no doubt the highlight of any tour to Guilin. Today, you will experience the 4 hours Li River cruise from the Zhujiang pier to Yangshuo town. The charming landscape along Li River will open your eyes. After the cruise tour, be transferred to the hotel, have some rest, and then explore West Street on your own.

Day 10 — Guilin - Hangzhou
As an old saying goes in China: the Guilin landscape tops those elsewhere, and the Yangshuo landscape tops that of Guilin. The idyllic countryside of Yangshuo is the reason why so many visitors come here. It is a great choice to ride a bicycle to enjoy the pastoral view formed by tranquil rice paddies, towering peaks, clear waters, and small villages. If you are not that good at biking, you can still appreciate the breathtaking landscape by van. Day 11 — Hangzhou
Take a leisurely tour of West Lake by boat in the morning. Stroll in this large-scale Chinese garden with classical features of pavilions, bridges and stupas, and immerse yourself in the wonderful scenery. Followed by the historic Lingyin Temple, and the Feilai Peak of the Buddhist grottoes in all manner of postures. As one of the unique cultures in Hangzhou, Chinese medicine culture will be well presented at the Museum of Hu Qing Yu Tang Traditional Chinese Medicine Drugstore, where you will learn more about Chinese herbal medicine.

Day 12 — Hangzhou - Shanghai
Enjoy your relaxing morning before being transferred to Hangzhou railway station to Shanghai by high-speed train. Day 13 — Shanghai
Today's tour starts from the Bund, covers Yu Garden, Yuyuan Market, Jade Buddha Temple, Silk Workshop (factory), and then take a stroll around Fuxing Park, where you can see the locals enjoy their leisure time, such as dancing, playing cards, playing Taiji and badminton. Later, continue to Bugaoli to see the traditional Stone Gate (Stone Arched Gates), and stop at a food market. Maybe this is a favorite place for your kids because they can try some popular dim sum. By such a tour, you can get an overview understanding of the vibrant, dynamic and complicated urban landscape hidden behind the blazing face of Shanghai.
