Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1 — Home - Phnom Penh
When you land in Phnom Penh after your flight we'll be at the airport to meet you and take you to the hotel. You'll have plenty of time to recover from your flight, chill out and meet your group. Day 2 — Phnom Penh
Today will start with a tuk tuk tour through the colourful, busy streets of Phnom Penh, where you'll get a glimpse into how local people go about their daily routines. We'll then pay a visit to two locations that played a pivotal role in Cambodia's sad and troubled history - the S21 Prison, and the Killing Fields. The stories and history you'll learn here will be difficult, however also necessary to understand Cambodia's past, including the brutal reign of the Khmer Rouge. This evening, dinner, drinks and a night out Phnom Penh style are on the agenda.

Day 3 — Phnom Penh - Kampot
Swapping city streets for laid back country roads, today we'll travel to the peaceful countryside province of Kampot. After settling in to our cosy traditional guesthouse nestled right by the river, this afternoon we'll travel by kayak, weaving slowly down the river whilst soaking in the tranquil surroundings.

Day 4 — Kampot
Kampot is known to have some of the best pepper in the world! So this morning we'll explore a local pepper plantation. Later today we'll learn first hand how to make some of Cambodia's most authentic and delicious meals before heading out on a stunning river cruise.Meals: B: Included, L: Excluded, D: IncludedStay: Salty River Guesthouse - 5
Day 5 — Kampot - Koh Rong Sanloem
Never had Cambodia down as much of a beach destination? Just wait until you get to Koh Rong Sanloem! We'll travel by train and fast ferry to reach this paradisiacal island, where we'll be checking in to our island paradise accommodation that is owned by the Chief of the village. This afternoon, feel yourself slipping in to island time as you laze on the beach, beer in hand at the Cliff Bar for sunset.
Small Change: During our stay in Koh Rong, our groups will help protect the environment with regular beach clean ups.

Day 6 — Koh Rong Sanloem
All aboard our private long tail boat to some of the best snorkel spots around the islands, including some beautiful secluded beaches. This evening's sunset will be the perfect time to reflect on another ridiculously awesome day together.

Day 7 — Koh Rong Sanloem - Siem Reap
This morning we'll enjoy our final day on the island relaxing on the beach. We'll then catch the ferry back to the mainland for dinner before boarding an overnight bus bound for Siem Reap. Day 8 — Siem Reap
Arrive in Siem Reap early in the morning. From there we'll venture out to the rural areas and discover some traditional floating villages surrounded by lush rice fields, lotus flowers and flooded forests.

Day 9 — Siem Reap
We'll wake for sunrise and travel by tuk tuk to the absolutely mind-blowing and world famous Angkor Wat; the largest temple in the world! A local guide will join us to explain the fascinating history and surrounding temples, including Ta Prohm where Tomb Raider was filmed. This afternoon we'll meet the APOPO hero rats, who have been sniffing out landmines and saving lives since 1997. Tonight we'll head out for our farewell dinner and final night out!

Special notes
- The hill climb/jungle trek is not too strenuous.
- We always recommend travelling with a backpack and packing light! 15-20kgs of stuff should be plenty. We will be using mainly trains for transport so dragging around a huge suitcase is not much fun. Depending on your onward travel plans there is luggage storage at the airports or at some accommodations if needed.
- Please bring all valuable items with you at all times. Do not leave valuable items on the bus or at the hotel, attraction, or restaurant. Tours4Fun, local operators, drivers, and tour guides are not responsible for any loss or theft at any location.
