    Day 1 — Home - New Zealand

    Arrive and meet your group – Kia ora! Landing in Christchurch, we'll meet you at our hostel to settle in and refresh. We recommend arriving before 15:00 pm as that is when the tour starts.

    Day 2 — Christchurch Orientation & Lake Tekapo

    Explore the lively city of Christchurch, where history and culture come to life around every corner, before heading to the stunning beauty of Lake Tekapo!

    Day 3 — Lake Tekapo

    Today, we'll hike up the stunning Mount John, where 360-degreepanoramic views of the majestic Southern Alps await. Afterward, we'll unwind and
    recharge by soaking our tired muscles in soothing hot pools—pure bliss! For those on the NZ Intro South work add-on, later that afternoon, our team will help make sure you've got everything sorted for living and, working in NZ, and get you signed up to our NZ Jobs Program.

    Day 4 — Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park

    Get ready for an epic scenic drive through the jaw-dropping Southern Alps as we make our way to the charming lakeside town of Wanaka, nestled beneath towering snow-capped peaks. Along the way, we'll take on a beautiful hike, that leads us to unbeatable views of Aoraki/Mount Cook—the tallest mountain in New Zealand!

    Day 5 — Discover Wanaka

    Today we check out all Wanaka has to offer, including going kayaking on the beautiful Lake Wanaka and discovering the famous Wanaka Tree. Later, we'll tackle the Mount Iron hike, where we'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, including the Pisa Range and the
    Upper Clutha Basin.

    Day 6 — Explore Queenstown

    After travelling to buzzing Queenstown, we'll get oriented with the high-octane adventure capital of NZ (and dare we say, the world!).

    Day 7 — Milford Sound Cruise

    Jumping on a fjord cruise, we'll experience the spellbinding combination of towering peaks, forested cliffs, resident seals, and plummeting waterfalls up close and personal. Pick your jaw up off the floor, this is mother nature at her finest!

    Day 8 — Queenstown & Jet Boating

    Today we'll get a splash of adrenaline with a jet-boat ride. Feel the thrill as the highly skilled driver keeps things pumping with 360-degree spins and speeds more than 80km/h. Tonight we'll get the gang together for our farewell dinner and final night out on the town! Time to see what this backpacker hub is all about after dark!

    Day 9 — Check Out & Onward Travel

    This morning your Southern Kiwi adventure comes to an end. You can either check out and journey home, stay on longer in Queenstown or continue your travels in New Zealand. If you need any assistance planning onward travel, we're here to help every step of the way.

• If you cancel on the start date of the Tour or any time thereafter (including by leaving the Tour) or you do not show up for the Tour, you will be liable to pay the Fee in full and no refund will be made to you.

Special notes
  • We always recommend travelling with a backpack and packing light! 10-20kgs of stuff should be plenty. We will be using mainly trains for transport so dragging around a huge suitcase is not much fun. Depending on your onward travel plans there is luggage storage at the airports or at some accommodations if needed.
  • Please bring all valuable items with you at all times. Do not leave valuable items on the bus or at the hotel, attraction, or restaurant. Tours4Fun, local operators, drivers, and tour guides are not responsible for any loss or theft at any location.
  • For tours with an age range of 18–45, the average age of participants is usually in the late 20s to early 30s. We kindly ask you to be aware of this to ensure your comfort and to avoid any impact on your experience or that of the group.
Pricing notes (children, single supplement)
* Tour only for adults start from 18 to 45 years old, no children allowed.
* Prices for Double/Triple/Quad Occupancy apply when two/three/four people stay in one standard hotel room respectively. 
* For solo traveller, you will be in a room with someone of the same gender. If you want to live in private single room, please choose the upgrade to private room.
* Please note that the Private Single Room option for this tour is unavailable in Queenstown. In Queenstown, you will still be accommodated in a standard dorm room.
