Day 3 — Tromsø to Kilpisjärvi: Delicious King Crab Lunch & Optional Snowshoe Northern Lights Chase
After enjoying breakfast, we started a short city tour around 9.30 AM. Tromsø is known as the romantic capital at the gateway to the Arctic. The city, nestled among fjords, islands, and mountains, offers charming history, vibrant downtown, and accessible Arctic scenery. You will see the iconic outside of "Arctic Cathedral" and "Lutheran Cathedral."

Around 10.30 AM we will drive through the fjords to an all-glass restaurant for a King Crab meal.
*Fresh King Crab caught from the cold waters of the Barents Sea will be cooked and served with simple seasoning like lemon juice, egg yolk sauce, and bread for an authentic taste experience.*

After the meal, drive about 3 hours to Kilpisjärvi in Finland, at the border with Norway and Sweden. Unlike Norway's dramatic fjords, Finland's northern region features vast forests and plains with few mountains, concentrated mainly around Kilpisjärvi, home to Finland's highest peak, Mount Haltia.
After arriving, check into a local four-star hotel and enjoy the free time for dinner.

Optional: A special "Northern Lights Chasing by Snowshoe Hike " (+100 EUR/person) for those wishing to experience the Northern Lights through additional outdoor activities.
Snowshoes help you walk on deep snow, allowing you to reach untouched areas far from light pollution, where you can hike to a hidden lake or a mountaintop with unobstructed views. Safety is ensured by using headlamps during the snowshoe hike, with hot drinks and cookies provided during rest breaks while enjoying the expansive Arctic wilderness and awaiting the Northern Lights. Wildlife such as reindeer or Arctic hares may be spotted along the way, but no need to worry about bears as they hibernate during winter.
Special notes:
1. The activity lasts for 3 hours, including guide, hot drinks, and snowshoes for hiking;
2. The Aurora is a natural phenomenon, so it is not guaranteed to be seen, but even if the weather is not as expected, snowshoe hiking itself is an interesting activity experience.
3. Number of participants: 5 people or more.

- Clothing preparation
The average temperature in Finland from December to April of the following year is -10-15℃; it is recommended that you wear a medium-thick down jacket, winter outdoor pants, and a pair of snow boots during the trip. Please bring the hat, scarf, and gloves needed for winter and refer to the following suggestions:
- Hat: Ski hat, cold hat, cold mask are all OK, the style must cover the ears.
- Scarf: Thick and windproof.
- Gloves: Try to choose mittens, the size should be wide so that the fingers can move freely. The glove opening can cover the outer sleeve.
- Outerwear: Ski suits or waist-length thick coats are preferred. The material is recommended to be windproof and shatterproof, and the style is not tight and suitable.
- Underwear: Wear close-fitting sports bras and long underwear pants for the upper and lower body first, then a long-sleeved wool sweater for the upper body, and thick wool pants for the lower body.
- Pants: The material should be thick and airtight, half-length ski pants or one-piece ski pants are suitable.
- Shoes: Anti-slip boots that are higher than the heels. The toe of the shoe should be wide so that the toes have room to move. It is better if the shoes are lined with warm materials such as wool.
*If you wear slippers, sneakers, single pants and other clothes that are obviously not suitable for winter, you will be prohibited from participating in any outdoor activities organized by us. - Tips
- Hotel: The temperature in the hotel is kept at around 20 degrees, so light clothes are sufficient
- Bus: You will often go in and out of the bus during the journey, so please bring a jacket that is easy to put on and take off
- Restaurant: Please do not wear ski clothes when entering the restaurant
- When participating in strenuous sports, it is easy to sweat because you wear more clothes. If you do not take off your clothes, you will easily catch a cold after the sweat cools down. Change clothes after an activity.
- In temperatures below zero, the face and other exposed skin are prone to wrinkles and cracks. Be sure to apply some skin cream when going out.
- In extremely cold climates, you should pay attention to preventing frostbite. If you stay outdoors for more than an hour, pay attention to the exposed parts of your skin, especially the condition of your cheeks. If white powder-like spots appear on the surface of your skin, you should stop outdoor activities and return to the room to keep warm immediately.
