This morning we head through the enchanting landscapes of the Lake District National Park in Cumbria. This remarkable region is renowned for its abundance of lakes, each offering its own unique allure, and it has been rightfully honored as a World Heritage Site for its breathtaking vistas and lush woodlands. As we traverse this picturesque terrain, prepare to be captivated by the sheer natural beauty that surrounds you.
Our destination is Windermere, a charming town nestled amidst the splendor of the Lake District and boasting the distinction of being home to England's largest natural lake. Here, you will have the opportunity to enjoy free time exploring this picturesque town, known not only for its stunning lake but also for its vibrant local culture and historical significance.

Upon our arrival in this dynamic urban center, we will have the chance to view the impressive Glasgow Cathedral from outside. This iconic cathedral stands as a testament to Scotland's rich history and enduring cultural heritage. Its grandeur and historical significance make it a captivating stop on our journey through Glasgow. Though we won't enter its hallowed halls, the cathedral's exterior offers a glimpse into its remarkable architecture and storied past.

Day 2 — Glasgow - Loch Lomond - Fort William - Scottish Distillery - Loch Ness
Today set our course for the breathtaking Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, home to the renowned Loch Lomond.
As we arrive at Loch Lomond's serene shores, you'll have the option to embark on a delightful boat cruise, an experience that allows you to immerse yourself in the picturesque Highland scenery while relishing a comforting cup of tea or coffee. Loch Lomond, also known as the "Lake of the Elms," is a pristine freshwater loch that traverses the Highland Boundary Fault, often regarded as the dividing line between the lowlands of Central Scotland and the majestic Highlands.
Our journey then meanders along a scenic route that leads us to Fort William, where we have the opportunity to explore the Nevis Range. Upon arrival, we ascend by cable car, provided it is operational, to Aonach Mòr, an imposing peak that stands at an elevation of 1,345 meters above sea level. It's a popular destination for those seeking the grandeur of the Scottish mountains.
Your adventure then takes you to a Whiskey Distillery, where you will delve into the time-honored craft of whisky distillation during a guided tour, culminating in a delightful tasting session.
During the day, we also pause to pay our respects at the Commando Memorial, a Category A listed monument located in Lochaber, Scotland. This monument is a tribute to the brave men of the original British Commando Forces, raised during World War II. Our journey further unfolds with a visit to Neptune's Staircase, a remarkable engineering marvel comprising eight locks along the Caledonian Canal. This extraordinary feat of engineering elevates the canal by 19 meters over a quarter-mile stretch of uninterrupted masonry. Navigating this flight of locks is a captivating 90-minute spectacle for boats. Constructed by the visionary Thomas Telford between 1803 and 1822, Neptune's Staircase ranks as Scotland's longest staircase lock flight.
Our journey continues, offering breathtaking vistas of the legendary Loch Ness, a majestic waterway that stretches over 22 miles in length and plunges to depths of more than 227 meters. Loch Ness is most renowned for its intriguing tales of the Loch Ness Monster, affectionately referred to as Nessie, making it a must-see stop on our captivating itinerary.

Important info
Special notes
- Currency: In Scotland, the official currency is the British Pound Sterling (GBP). We recommend passengers exchange any spending money into GBP before they travel, as exchanging currency on the go can be inconvenient. Not all places we visit will have ATMs, and while most establishments accept credit or debit cards, it's always best to have some cash on hand, particularly for smaller purchases or in more remote areas. We also suggest keeping some change in coins, as many public toilets in Scotland require a small fee for use. Please note that USD, Euros, or travellers' cheques are not widely accepted at most locations on this tour.
- Distances: An important point to note whilst on a touring holiday is that some long journeys are unavoidable especially when travelling from city to city. It is advisable passengers carry necessities that they may need for the day such as water, dry snacks, cameras etc. with them in their hand luggage. For this tour it should be noted that the travel times are extensive on this tour.
- Hotels: Please note that not all hotels on this tour will have air conditioning or kettles. If you require warm milk for a baby, we recommend bringing your bottle warmer and milk supply. Passengers may also want to carry a small travel iron and hairdryer, as these amenities may not be available in all hotel rooms. In some European hotels, double occupancy rooms may consist of two single beds pushed together. We work with such hotels, so please be prepared for this arrangement. If you use additional services such as the phone, minibar, or pay-per-view TV in your room, these costs are not included in the tour package and must be settled directly with the hotel upon checkout. The maximum occupancy per room on this tour is three people. However, from March to May, some hotels may only accommodate a maximum of two people per room.
- Meals: Passengers can choose from various meal options, including vegetarian, Jain, or non-vegetarian. Please note that Jain and Halal meals may not always be available. We ask that passengers inform the tour manager of their preferred diet on the first day of the tour. Meals are served as pre-set buffets, and menu choices are not available. Only tap water will be provided with meals. On some days, a pre-set continental meal may be served. Breakfast will be provided at the hotels, usually in a designated dining area, and typically consists of a continental selection including tea, coffee, bread, cereals, fruit, and yoghurt. If you require specific allergen information, please get in touch with us in advance so we can assist you accordingly.

Your passport must be valid for the duration of your stay in the UK. It is recommended to have at least six months' validity. Ensure your passport has sufficient blank pages for entry and exit stamps. The UK is not part of the Schengen Area, So you do not require Schengen visas for this tour, however if you hold a non EU passport then you will require UK Visa. Please consult the British Embassy in your country of residence. Nationals of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and many other non-European countries must apply for a UK visa in advance. The type of visa will depend on the purpose and length of your stay. For short tourist visits, a standard visitor visa is typically required. Nationals of countries like the USA, Canada, Australia, and most European Union countries do not require a visa for short stays in the UK (up to 6 months for tourism). - Weather: The weather in Scotland is often variable and unpredictable, much like in other parts of Western Europe. Regardless of the season, it is advisable to carry an umbrella and be prepared for sudden changes in weather conditions. Lowland Areas (Edinburgh, Glasgow): Temperatures in the lowlands can fluctuate throughout the year. Summers are mild, with temperatures typically ranging from 15-20°C, while winters can drop to around 0-5°C. Rain is common year-round. Highlands & Islands: The weather in the Scottish Highlands and islands can be cooler and more extreme, especially at higher elevations. In summer, temperatures can vary from 10-15°C, but winter temperatures often fall below freezing, especially in remote areas. Bring layers to accommodate shifting temperatures, particularly if you're travelling between lowland and highland regions. Due to Scotland's frequent rain, waterproof jackets and sturdy footwear are essential. Days are short in winter, with darkness setting in as early as 15:30-16:00 hrs, especially in the northern regions. Visitors can enjoy Scotland's stunning landscapes and cities at any time of year by being well-prepared for the changing conditions.

We advise passengers to inform us of their requirements in advance so we can make the necessary requests. Please be aware that specific areas or parts of destinations, such as Ben Nevis and Edinburgh Castle, are inaccessible to wheelchair users.
