Time for your Reindeer Meet & Greet! Your tour guide will introduce you to Jim & Dwight, our on-site reindeer, for a 30 minute long tour in the enclosure. You'll have the opportunity to feed Jim & Dwight as you learn how they live year round in the Arctic.
This afternoon will be your Basecamp Hagglunds tour. On this 2 hour long tour, you will ride along the 'fire break' in front of Borealis Basecamp in the heated cab of our Hagglunds all-terrain carrier (Fall) / our snow coach (Winter). The fire break was created 7 years ago as a way to keep fires from crossing one side of the forest to another, and now provides us with a beautiful open space to view animal tracks or, if you're lucky, see some wild animals!
Halfway through the tour you will come to a scenic viewpoint, where your guide will pour you a drink (champagne, local beer, or a soda of your choice), which you can drink while watching the sunset.
