Day 1: Ulleri to Ghorepani Begin your trek in Ulleri, a vibrant Magar village perched on a steep hillside at approximately 2,070 meters. Enjoy your first close-up views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. Leave the stone houses of Ulleri and enter a dense canopy of rhododendron and oak trees.
Stop for a tea break in Banthanti and have lunch in Nangethanti (2,460 meters). After lunch, push on for 1.5 hours to reach Ghorepani. Arrive early enough to catch the sunset from the ridge in Ghorepani.
The village is split into two parts, with the upper section offering panoramic views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges. Day 2: Ghorepani to Tadapani (via Poon Hill) Wake up at 4:30 AM to hike to the top of Poon Hill for the sunrise over the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna massifs. Return to Ghorepani for breakfast.
Climb a secondary ridge called Deurali Pass, which offers views almost as good as Poon Hill, before descending through a narrow river gorge and moss-covered forests to reach Tadapani.
