Optional: For those feeling adventurous, and if weather permits, you can continue to Mardi Himal Base Camp (≈4,500 m / 14,764 ft). During winter months (January, February, March), heavy snow can make this section challenging, so crampons and caution are advised. After breakfast, begin your trek down to Low Camp for overnight stay.
On the descent, the majestic Machhapuchhre and the Annapurna range will continue to accompany us, offering the same breathtaking views we enjoyed on the ascent Day 4: Rest Camp to Lumre and drive back to Pokhara Descend from Low Camp to Siding Village, a scenic downhill walk taking approximately 4–5 hours.
