## Overview

Citizens of India must hold a visa to enter Montenegro; Montenegro has no resident mission in India and visa applications are submitted at VFS centres (New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Kochi). Applicants must visit in person; third-party submission is not allowed. Applications are processed by the Consulate General of Montenegro in Istanbul (Turkey). Holders of a valid Schengen, US, UK or Irish visa or residence permit may enter, stay in or transit Montenegro for up to 30 days (no longer than the visa's expiry) without a Montenegrin visa.

- Valid travel document (Passport) - validity must be at least three months longer than the validity period of the visa

- A valid travel ticket to the destination, or the driving license, green card insurance and vehicle registration documents if traveling by car

- Proof of health insurance

### C Category - Short Term

- Proof of the purpose of stay (letter of guarantee from a natural person or letter of invitation from a legal entity, state authority or organizer of an international meeting/event)
- Proof of means of support – at least EUR 50.00 for each day of the requested stay

- Optional: proof of secured accommodation (paid tourist arrangement, hotel or other reservation)
- Optional: proof of means of travel / intention to return (return ticket, driving license)

### D Category - Long Term (general)

- Proof of the purpose of stay (letter of guarantee/invitation, lease agreement or accommodation certificate, bank statement showing sufficient funds for accommodation, subsistence and leaving Montenegro, employment contract or work engagement certificate)
- Other evidence on the basis of which the justification of the application can be assessed
- Optional: proof of no criminal conviction in country of origin/residence (mandatory later for work and residence permit)

- Employment contract or other document proving work performed through communication technology for a foreign employer or own company not registered in Montenegro
