## Overview

Malta visa applications from India are submitted at VFS Global and decided by the High Commission of Malta in New Delhi; visa queries must be addressed to VFS, not the High Commission. Applications can be made up to 6 months in advance; VFS recommends applying at least 4 weeks before departure. Applicants' photographs and biometrics are captured at the VFS centre; documents must be submitted in person (original + copy), with a copy of PAN card and Aadhaar card. - Certificate of the travel agency confirming an organised trip or other document indicating travel plans
- Proof of accommodation: confirmed hotel booking, or 'Declaration of Proof' signed by host, witnessed by Maltese Public Notary, with host ID, proof of residence and income
- Employed: original 3-month bank statement (stamped/signed), 3 months payslips, employment contract, employer's holiday approval, ITR acknowledgment last two assessment years
- Company owner/self-employed: 3-month bank statement, company registration incl. GST number, ITR acknowledgment last two years, business bank account statement
- Sponsored: 3-month bank statement, proof of sponsorship, applicant's ITR acknowledgment last two years
- Retired: pension statements for last three months and/or proof of regular income
- Minors: notarised parental consent, copies of parents' passports/ID

### Work Permit – Extended service (D)

- Valid Approval in Principle (AIP) letter issued by Identity Malta Agency
- Original invitation letter and original work permit letter (Identity Malta) — VFS will not accept applications without it
- Aadhaar card with photocopy
