## Overview

Cyprus visas for Indian applicants are decided by the High Commission of the Republic of Cyprus in New Delhi, which has contracted VFS Global Services Pvt Ltd (contract effective 21 July 2026) to receive applications at visa application centres across India; appointments are booked via visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/cyp. Applications can also be made at the High Commission only by appointment via delhi.consulate@mfa.gov.cy. At submission applicants hand in documents, pay the fee, answer questions about the trip and give photograph and fingerprints. Applications can be submitted within six months and no later than fifteen calendar days before the visit; electronic applications are not available. Holders of a valid double/multiple-entry Schengen C visa, or a valid D visa/residence permit of an EU/Schengen state, can enter Cyprus for up to 90 days in 180 without a Cyprus visa.

## Visa on arrival, eVisa and visa-free entry

- **Visa on arrival:** Not available: India is on the EU list of countries whose nationals must hold a visa, so Indians must get a Cyprus visa before travel (through VFS Global in India or the High Commission in New Delhi). Cyprus issues a border visa (up to 15 days) only exceptionally, in emergencies and with the Migration Director's approval, to travellers who could not apply in advance for unforeseeable and compelling reasons.
- **eVisa / online visa:** Not available: the High Commission in New Delhi states that electronic visa applications cannot be submitted at this stage. Applications are lodged in person at a VFS Global centre in India or at the High Commission by appointment, where fingerprints and a photo are taken.
- **Visa-free entry:** Conditional: Indians holding a valid double- or multiple-entry Schengen (category C) visa, or a valid D visa or residence permit of an EU (except UK and Ireland) or Schengen country, can enter Cyprus without a Cyprus visa for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. No airport transit visa is needed to stay in the international transit zone of a Cypriot airport, as India is on neither the EU common nor the Cyprus airport-transit-visa list.
