When gliding past oasis towns, poplar forests instantly wash the view with refreshing shades of green, and the adobe houses of Uyghur villages rise from the earth like clusters of mushrooms.

### Day 16: Xining

This is a golden epic composed by the Qilian Mountains within the "Corridor of Heavenly Scenery". Each July, this magnificent floral spectacle—lasting thirty days—transforms the northeastern fringe of the Tibetan Plateau into a palette overturned by the gods.
