## Itinerary

### Day 1: Rome

Welcome to Rome! Transfer to the hotel and free time. You will be provided with the information required for the beginning of the trip in the afternoon; otherwise, the information will appear on the information panels at the hotel reception area. Note: - Remember that hotels check-in time is usually at 14:00 hrs. If you require more hours of room availability, consider booking an additional night at the beginning of your trip. - The schedules that you will find in this itinerary are indicative. The guide, depending on the situation and in order to improve the development of the trip, may adjust the schedules. - All the following hotels are for your reference only, you may check-in other similar hotels. Note: All mentioned hotels below are for your reference only, you might also check-in other same-level hotels.

### Day 2: Rome

In the morning, we'll take a three-hour guided tour of the Eternal City, combining a walking tour of Imperial Rome with a panoramic bus ride to explore one of the oldest and most influential cities in Western civilization. During the tour, we'll visit several iconic sites, including the Arch of Constantine, the exterior of the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums, the Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant'Angelo. This tour will end around 11:00 a.m. at Vatican City, an independent state within Rome and the center of the Catholic Church. For those who are especially interested, our guide will offer an optional visit after the panoramic tour to explore in more detail the most important halls of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Free afternoon. 6:00 p.m. – To wrap up the day, we'll include a transfer to the popular Trastevere neighborhood, known for its charming restaurants and lively atmosphere. 8:30 p.m. Return to the hotel (Approx.)

### Day 3: Rome

Free time the whole day to keep exploring the city. Today we suggest you take an optional excursion to Naples, Capri and Pompeii.

### Day 4: Rome - Florence

Pleasant landscapes; historical towns along the route. Note: we recommend you wear comfortable shoes as the city tour of Florence involves walking. 08:00h Rome – Departure (may slightly vary, depending on the departure points). 12:30h Florence – upon arrival we will make a stop to take a photo at the Michelangelo viewpoint , where we can have one of the most beautiful views over the city. After that we include a sightseeing tour with a local guide of the capital of Tuscany, one of the most visited cities in the country, considered the cradle of the Renaissance and few of the most influential artists and thinkers in history, such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Botticelli or Raphael. Highlights include the Gothic cathedral (duomo), the ancient Stone Bridge (Ponte Vecchio) with its goldsmiths´ shops and the Signoria square - the political heart of the city with the town hall in a medieval building.Free time in the afternoon. We recommend visiting one of its impressive museums, such as the Accademia Gallery or the Uffizi museum.

### Day 5: Florence - Venice

Pleasant landscapes. We cross the Apennines, mountain landscapes. 08:15 hrs. - Florence - departure. 12:00 hrs. - Venice - Arrival. We transfer to the Tronchetto terminal to take a private boat that takes us to the historic center of Venice. We pass along the Giudecca canal admiring the wonderful location of Venice. In the city center we will have a walking tour with a local guide ; We walk around St. Mark´s Square: Basilica, Campanile...we will also visit a popular Murano glass factory , where we can admire traditional glass-working techniques. Free time afterwards. Our guide will suggest you taking a gondola ride. 19:30 hrs. - Transfer back to the hotel (normally located in Mestre) from the St. Mark’s neighborhood on our private boat.

### Day 6: Venice

Free day. You can enjoy the charm of this city. Free time to explore and discover memorable places.

### Day 7: Venice - Padua - San Marino - Gubbio - Perugia

The arrival in San Marino stands out, with its fortress on top of the mountain. Pretty scenery crossing the Apennines. 07:30 hrs - Venice -departure. 08:15 hrs - Padua –Arrival- We are in the city of San Antonio, a beautiful mediaeval basilica which receives pilgrims, bustling streets in the centre. Time to visit the basilica. 09:30 hrs - Padua –Departure-. -We travel to the Adriatic coast and to San Marino, a tiny independent country surrounded by Italy. 13:30 hrs - San Marino -Arrival. Free time at the top of the heavily fortified mountain. Time to stroll, have lunch and do some shopping. 16.00 hrs - San Marino –Departure-. Beautiful countryside crossing the Pennines. 18:15 hrs - Gubbio . -Arrival- A small, marvellously preserved city, where the Palace of Consuls and the twelfth-century cathedral stand out. Time for a walk. 19:30 hrs - Gubbio –Departure-. 20:30 hrs - Perugia –Arrival and accommodation

### Day 8: Perugia - Assisi - Naples

Pleasant scenery of Umbria. NB: In the basilica of St Francis of Assisi, discreet dress is required; make sure you remember this for this stage. In the Umbría region, Perugia is a surprising mediaeval historic city. With a local guide we include a city tour (normally leaving the hotel at 08.00hrs), and on escalators we cross the rocky outcrop and see the surprising historic center of the city of chocolate! 10:15 hrs - Perugia –Departure-. 11.00 hrs - Assisi -Arrival. Time for lunch and to see this artistic jewel of Umbría. Free time to see the basilicas. 13:30 hrs - Assisi - Departure. We pass through Rome on our way to the south of Italy. 20.00 hrs.- Naples . Arrival.

### Day 9: Naples - Capri - Sorrento - Salerno

Very beautiful landscapes in the Bay of Naples and Sorrento. Notes: Part of this trip is by boat, we recommend that you bring some warm clothes during this day. Do not forget to bring your camera as the landscapes today are very beautiful. Due to weather conditions, in some cases the ships that connect Naples with Capri or Capri with Sorrento do not operate; in these cases the route would be modified arriving at Sorrento by highway and visiting Amalfi instead of Capri. A time to stroll in Naples before taking our ferry (departure scheduled at 09:30 hrs ). The boat trip to the Isle of Capri lasts about 50 minutes, with beautiful scenery. 10.40 hrs. CAPRI .- Free time for lunch on the island. Optionally you can take a boat to visit the White Grotto and cliffs or take the funicular to go up to Capri. 15.15 hrs- We take a ferry (schedules variable), this time, towards Sorrento; Beautiful scenery while arriving to Sorrento. 16.00 hrs - SORRENTO - We are in a small very picturesque and lively town, with the port located in the lower area, and the town at the base of a cliff. 18.00hrs-. Sorrento, departure. 19.45 hrs . - SALERNO . Accommodation . Would you like to take a stroll through this active southern italian city? Note: During the winter months the schedules will be modified (leaving earlier from Naples) in order to take advantage of the sunlight.

### Day 10: Salerno - Pompeii - Naples - Cassino - Rome

Pleasant landscapes. Note: We recommend comfortable shoes for walking around Pompeii. 08:00 hrs. Salerno, departure- 08:45 hrs. - Pompeii -arrival.- The Roman city that two thousand years ago was covered by the ashes of the Vesuvius volcano. Entrance an visit inside with local guide to know the history of this place included. 11:30 hrs. - Pompeii - departure. 12:00 hrs. - Naples . Arrival in one of the most fascinating cities in Italy and one of the oldest and most continuously inhabited in Europe. The old town of Naples is one of the largest in Europe and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Time to have lunch and walk through its narrow streets full of life and clothes hanging out to dry. 14:30 hrs. - Naples - departure. 16:00 hrs. - Cassino . - Arrival. In this place the largest battle in Italian lands of the Second World War took place. We will visit the immense abbey, with its magnificent views. 17:30 hrs. - Cassino - departure. 20:15 hrs. - Rome - arrival.

### Day 11: Rome

After breakfast, end of our services. Note: Remember that hotels check-out time is usually at 10.00 hrs. In most cases, you can leave your luggage at the hotel reception at check-out time, so you can enjoy the city and pick it up at the time you require that same day. If you need more time to use your room, please consider booking an additional night at the end of your tour.
