## Itinerary

### Day 1: Madrid - Arrival

Welcome to Madrid! The guide, depending on the situation and in order to improve the development of the trip, may adjust the schedules. Upon arrival at the airport, we shall be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. Check the informative panels in the hotel reception area for the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travellers to receive information about the trip. In the evening we provide transfers to the Plaza Mayor and La Latina, Madrid´s most famous area for night life and tapas restaurants, where you can dine at your preferred restaurant: Indian, Chinese, Spanish and Middle Eastern are some of the options. Note: All mentioned hotels below are for your reference only, you might also check-in other same-level hotels.

### Day 2: Madrid

The day starts around 08.30 hrs with a city tour through the centre of Madrid, including Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, the Gate of Alcalá, Plaza de Colón and Plaza Mayor. We will visit Retiro Park , an oasis in the city centre, where we will see the lake and the Glass Palace. Entrance to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, the football stadium of Real Madrid. We get to know the areas reserved for the players as well as the public areas and the small museum about this team, considered by some as the best in the world. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon. At the end of the evening, we will return to the hotel.

### Day 3: Madrid - Granada

07:45 hrs. - Madrid – departure (the schedule may vary slightly depending on the pickup points). We will make a stop at Puerto Lápice , a beautiful town in La Mancha with memories of Don Quixote de la Mancha. 13:30 hrs. - GRANADA – Arrival at the hotel. Lunch included . In the afternoon (or the next morning in case of difficulty obtaining tickets) we will visit, with a local guide, the immense Alhambra Palace and its beautiful Generalife gardens , built in the Arab era. After the visit free time. We recommend to have a walk through the Albaicín neighborhood. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: The number of people authorized to visit the Alhambra is limited by law. To guarantee entry, the ticket will be issued when confirming the reservation of the tour. For this it is necessary to have the client´s correct personal data (full name and passport/ID number). Since there is no possibility of cancellation, in case of cancellation of the reservation the ticket costs will be passed on to the client. In very limited cases, when the Alhambra reservation is canceled, the Real Alcázar of Seville with similar characteristics will be visited. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: To access the Alhambra, it is necessary to present the document with which you confirmed the reservation (passport or ID).

### Day 4: Granada - Malaga - Nerja - Ronda - Seville

Total distance covered: 377 km Scenery: The Sierra Nevada mountain range, with its snow-capped peaks in winter contrasting with fertile valleys, and the radiant Tropical Coast, where the Mediterranean Sea meets lands of exotic crops. 08:00 a.m. – Granada – Departure. We begin our journey leaving the Sierra Nevada behind and descending toward the Mediterranean coast, enjoying spectacular panoramas of mountains and sea. 09:15 a.m. – Nerja – Arrival. This charming whitewashed town sits atop impressive cliffs that offer unforgettable views of the Mediterranean. Free time to stroll through its narrow streets and visit the famous Balcony of Europe. 10:15 a.m. – Nerja – Departure. We continue along the Costa del Sol, known for its beaches and unmistakable Mediterranean atmosphere. 11:15 a.m. – Málaga – Arrival. Capital of the Costa del Sol, Málaga blends tradition and modernity in a lively historic center. You may explore Larios Street, the cathedral, or visit the Alcazaba. Free time for lunch and to wander at your own pace. 2:30 p.m . – Málaga – Departure. We head inland through the Andalusian sierras, passing olive groves, holm oaks, and white villages scattered across the landscape. 4:00 p.m. – Ronda – Arrival. One of Andalusia's most beautiful towns, famous for its breathtaking gorge, "El Tajo," which splits the city in two and is spanned by the monumental New Bridge. We'll walk through its historic center, with Arab and medieval origins. 5:45 p.m. – Ronda – Departure. The route leads us through rolling hills toward the capital of Andalusia. 7:45 p.m. – Seville – Arrival. Dinner included at the hotel.

### Day 5: Seville

Our visit to Seville will be very special, we combine a part by bus and on foot with a boat ride along the Guadalquivir River that will allow us to appreciate the best views of the monuments and places that the city offers. A local guide will explain the history and culture of the capital of Andalusia and show us its most beautiful corners. We will begin with the visit around nine in the morning. We passes by the Cathedral-Giralda, Santa Cruz neighborhood, Banks of the Guadalquivir River, Torre del Oro, Maestranza Bullring, Cartuja Island, where the Expo took place and which currently houses the "Isla Mágica" amusement park, María Luisa Park with the beautiful Plaza de España. Total duration of the visit is about 3 hours (including the boat ride). Free time in the afternoon. The guide will offer you optionally the possibility to visit the cathedral and in the evening to attend a popular flamenco tablao.

### Day 6: Seville - Mérida - Évora

Total distance: 345 km Scenery: Attractive landscapes of white-painted villages, mountain ranges and castles. Note: In Portugal we must set our watches back one hour. 09:00 hrs. - Seville - Departure. We travel through pleasant landscapes of soft mountains and large pasture lands towards Extremadura. 11:30 hrs. - Mérida. Arrival in the capital of Extremadura. Admission included to the archaeological complex of the Roman Theater and Amphitheater, the largest in the Iberian Peninsula, a World Heritage Site, recognized not only for its good state of conservation, but also as an example of the importance that spectacle and entertainment had the ancient Rome in all of its provinces. Mérida has a pleasant pedestrian historic center with a lot of life and places, where you can have lunch. 15:30 hrs. - Mérida - departure. Beautiful landscapes of large meadows. We pass to Portugal. We enter the Alentejo region. 16:30 hrs. (Portuguese time) - Évora - Arrival. The capital of Alentejo, one of the oldest cities in Portugal that has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Time to walk through the historic center with its white streets, its cathedral, its old churches, a taste of southern Portugal. Overnight in Evora.

### Day 7: Évora - Marvão - Castelo de Vide - Tomar - Fátima

08:30 hrs. - Évora - departure. 10:15 hrs. – Marvao - very picturesque walled town that offers us a fantastic panoramic view of the region. 11:15 hrs. – Marvao - departure. 11:45 hrs. - Castelo de Vide - Time to enjoy this Alentejo town with its large castle, its old Jewish quarter with a medieval synagogue (now a museum) that we can visit and have lunch in the labyrinth of narrow and irregular streets whose Gothic arcades invite us to walk. 13:45 hrs. - Castelo De Vide, departure. 15:30 hrs. - Tomar . – Arrival -. We include the entrance to the immense Convent-Castle of Christ that belonged to the Templars and today dominates the city. 16:30 hrs. - Tomar – departure. 17:15 hrs. - Fátima - Before we arrive, we´ll make a brief stop in Aljustrel , the village where the Three Shepherds were born; here, we´ll visit Lucia´s house. Upon arriving in Fátima, an important sanctuary and pilgrimage site commemorating the apparitions of Our Lady to the Three Shepherds, we’ll find the chapel built in 1919 at the site of the apparitions, in Cova de Iría. Since then, the Sanctuary has continued to expand in response to the influx of pilgrims. You’ll have free time, during which, if desired, you can watch the candlelight procession. Dinner is included.

### Day 8: Fatima - Porto

Total distance covered: 210 km Scenery: Pleasant, green hills. 08:30 a.m. – Departure from Fátima. 11:00 a.m. – Arrival in Porto. We’ll board a rabelo, a traditional Portuguese boat on the Douro River, for a 50-minute cruise. From the river, we’ll admire Porto’s beautiful waterfront and pass under six bridges, including the iconic Dom Luís I Bridge, one of the city’s most famous landmarks. Free time to explore the medieval Ribeira district, known for its narrow cobblestone streets lined with historic merchant houses and charming cafés. 06:30 p.m. – Transfer to the hotel and accommodation. Note: From November to April, the Porto boat tour may take place in the afternoon.

### Day 9: Porto - Braga - Sanctuary of Bom Jesus - Guimarães - Aveiro- Coimbra

Total distance covered: 275 km Scenery: We will travel through the green hills and fertile valleys of northern Portugal, admiring its rich historical heritage. 08:30 a.m. – Porto. Departure. We set off toward the heart of northern Portugal. 09:30 a.m. – Braga. Arrival. Known as the religious capital of Portugal, Braga is home to the country's oldest cathedral and a lively historic center. Free time to stroll through its streets, filled with spirituality and tradition. 10:15 a.m. – Braga. Departure. A short drive takes us to one of the country's most famous sanctuaries. 10:30 a.m . – Bom Jesus. Arrival. We take the historic 19th-century funicular up to the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus, from where we enjoy breathtaking views. We suggest walking down the monumental baroque stairway, lined with fountains and sculptures. 11:45 a.m . – Bom Jesus. Departure. We continue to another key city in Portuguese history. 12:15 p.m. – Guimarães. Arrival. The first capital of the Kingdom of Portugal, its medieval center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Palace of the Dukes of Braganza evokes the grandeur of Portugal's origins. Free time for lunch. 2:45 p.m. – Guimarães. Departure. We head west toward the Atlantic. 4:30 p.m . – Aveiro. Arrival. Known as the “Venice of Portugal,” here we will enjoy a ride on a traditional Moliceiro boat through its canals and aboard we´ll taste a typical local sweet. We will admire the colorful art nouveau houses, the salt flats, and the maritime charm of this city. 6:30 p.m . – Aveiro. Departure. 7:30 p.m. – Coimbra. Arrival. Hotel check-in and dinner included.

### Day 10: Coimbra - Batalha - Nazaré - Obidos - Lisbon

After breakfast a transfer to the historic center to walk in the third city of Portugal, a city with a very important past that has one of the oldest universities in the world and the oldest in Portugal. Enjoy its streets, its patios and its student life. 11:30 hrs. - Coimbra -departure. 12:30 hrs. - Batalha Monastery - entrance included in this impressive medieval mausoleum of kings with great historical significance given that the decisive event for the consolidation of the Portuguese nation took place there. You can see the monastery inside or see its impressive facade and stroll through the small shopping streets that surround it. 13:30 hrs. - Batalha Monastery - departure. 14:00 hrs. - Nazaré – arrival to this beautiful fishing town. We include the elevator that takes us up to the ancient city on the top of the cliff with stunning views over the ocean and the popular beach. Time for lunch and rest. 16:30 hrs. - Nazaré - departure. 17:00 hrs. - Óbidos - Arrival. Town full of charm with important medieval walls, with its castle, its streets full of flowers and commercial life. 18:15 hrs. - Óbidos - departure. 19:30 hrs. - Lisbon - arrival. Note : Due to the fact that the Nazaré elevator is under restoration at this time, and while the repair works continue, the ascent to the old city will be done by coach.

### Day 11: Lisbon

City tour of Lisbon. In the morning city tour with a local guide lasting approximately 2 hours. During this visit we will pass through the following points: Eduardo VII park, Baixa Pombalina (Marqués de Pombal square, Rossío square with views of the San Jorge castle, Alfama), Estrela neighborhood, Estrela Basilica, Monument to the Discoveries, Belém Tower, Jerónimos Monastery. The visit will finish in the city center. Free time in the afternoon to continue exploring the city. We suggest you taking the Elevator da Gloria to visit Bairro Alto and the viewpoint São Pedro. Our guide will optionally offer you to visit the beautiful towns of Sintra with its castle and Cascais and Estoril by the sea. 20:30 hrs. - We return from the Restauradores Square , an area with numerous restaurants and cafes, to the hotel.

### Day 12: Lisbon

After breakfast, end of our services. Note: Remember that hotels check-out time is usually at 10.00 hrs. In most cases, you can leave your luggage at the hotel reception at check-out time, so you can enjoy the city and pick it up at the time you require that same day. If you need more time to use your room, please consider booking an additional night at the end of your tour.
