## Itinerary

### Day 1: Home - Phnom Penh

When you land in Phnom Penh after your flight we'll be at the airport to meet you and take you to the hotel. You'll have plenty of time to recover from your flight, chill out and meet your group. That night we'll head out for dinner and drinks.

### Day 2: Phnom Penh

Today will start with a tuk tuk tour through the colourful, busy streets of Phnom Penh, where you'll get a glimpse into how local people go about their daily routines. We'll then pay a visit to two locations that played a pivotal role in Cambodia's sad and troubled history - the S21 Prison, and the Killing Fields. The stories and history you'll learn here will be difficult, however also necessary to understand Cambodia's past, including the brutal reign of the Khmer Rouge. This evening, dinner, drinks and a night out Phnom Penh style are on the agenda. Small Change: Explore Cambodia's history on a profound level with a visit to S21 Prison and the Killing Fields.

### Day 3: Phnom Penh - Kampot

Swapping city streets for laid back country roads, today we'll travel to the peaceful countryside province of Kampot. After settling in to our cosy traditional guesthouse nestled right by the river, this afternoon we'll travel by kayak, weaving slowly down the river whilst soaking in the tranquil surroundings. Small Change: As we kayak, each group collects waste to keep rivers and mangroves clean.

### Day 4: Kampot

Kampot is known to have some of the best pepper in the world! So this morning we'll explore a local pepper plantation. Later today we'll learn first hand how to make some of Cambodia's most authentic and delicious meals before heading out on a stunning river cruise.

### Day 5: Kampot - Koh Rong Sanloem

Never had Cambodia down as much of a beach destination? Just wait until you get to Koh Rong Sanloem! We'll travel by train and fast ferry to reach this paradisiacal island, where we'll be checking in to our island paradise accommodation that is owned by the Chief of the village. This afternoon, feel yourself slipping in to island time as you laze on the beach, beer in hand at the Cliff Bar for sunset. Small Change: During our stay in Koh Rong, our groups will help protect the environment with regular beach clean ups.

### Day 6: Koh Rong Sanloem

All aboard our private long tail boat to some of the best snorkel spots around the islands, including some beautiful secluded beaches. This evening's sunset will be the perfect time to reflect on another ridiculously awesome day together.

### Day 7: Koh Rong Sanloem - Siem Reap

This morning we'll enjoy our final day on the island relaxing on the beach. We'll then catch the ferry back to the mainland for dinner before boarding an overnight bus bound for Siem Reap. With fully reclining beds and air con, this is bus travelling in style.

### Day 8: Siem Reap

Arrive in Siem Reap early in the morning. From there we'll venture out to the rural areas and discover some traditional floating villages surrounded by lush rice fields, lotus flowers and flooded forests. Small Change: During our floating village tour, we'll visit homes, schools, and meet community members, gaining a deeper understanding of their resilience and daily challenges.

### Day 9: Siem Reap

We'll wake for sunrise and travel by tuk tuk to the absolutely mind-blowing and world famous Angkor Wat; the largest temple in the world! A local guide will join us to explain the fascinating history and surrounding temples, including Ta Prohm where Tomb Raider was filmed. This afternoon we'll meet the APOPO hero rats, who have been sniffing out landmines and saving lives since 1997. Tonight we'll head out for our farewell dinner and final night out! Small Change: By sponsoring APOPO Hero Rats, we are helping make Cambodian communities safer. These trained rats detect landmines, allowing teams to clear dangerous areas and potect lives.

### Day 10: Siem Reap - Home

Your amazing 10 day adventure of Cambodia finishes in Siem Reap. We'll help you plan and organise your onward travel.
