Explore the remarkable complex of rock-cut Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain temples dating back to the 6th century CE. Marvel at the intricate sculptures and carvings that depict various mythological tales and glimpses of everyday life. During the excursion, you will also visit Grishneshwar , one of the 12 Jyotirlingas (sacred abodes of Lord Shiva), and Daulatabad Fort , a well-preserved medieval fortress offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. After the tour, return to your hotel in Aurangabad for a comfortable overnight stay.

### Day 2: Aurangabad - Ajanta Caves - Aurangabad (210kms round trip)

The Ajanta Caves house 30 rock-cut Buddhist cave monuments dating back to the 2nd century BCE. Admire the stunning frescoes and sculptures that narrate the life of Buddha and depict various Buddhist deities. After the Ajanta Caves exploration, return to Aurangabad, and enjoy a city tour that will take you to some of Aurangabad's renowned monuments. Visit Bibi Ka Maqbara , a mausoleum built in memory of Emperor Aurangzeb's wife, inspired by the Taj Mahal's architecture. Explore Panchakki , a fascinating water mill that was used to grind grain.
