## Itinerary

### Day 1: Flight to Kayseri / Fairy Chimneys of Cappadocia

According to your pick-up time meet with your driver at the lobby of your hotel and drive to Airport for your flight to Kayseri. Upon arrival you will be greeted by your driver and drive to Cappadocia, meet with your group participants and start your full-day tour. Explore the Goreme Open-Air Museum , which consists of many rock-cut churches from the second half of the 9th century, decorated with beautiful, colorful frescoes. Next, proceed to Devrent Valley , famous for its quirky animal-shaped rocks that create the impression of a natural sculpture zoo. Among these formations is a rock pillar resembling the Virgin Mary holding the infant Jesus. Take in the unique lunar landscape and feel as if you've stepped into another world. Your journey continues to Pasabagi , which means "the Pasha's vineyard." This site, also known as Monks Valley, was once the hermitage of Simeon monks. Here, you can see a chapel dedicated to St. Simeon and a hermit's shelter built into a three-headed fairy chimney. Afterwards, head to Avanos , where you will enjoy a typical Turkish lunch and experience pottery-making with local experts. The tour then continues to the Goreme Panorama , offering one of the best panoramic views of the fairy chimneys. Finally, visit Uchisar , home to the highest natural rock castle in the region, which provides a magnificent panorama of the surrounding area. After the tour, you will be driven to your hotel for check-in and an overnight stay in Cappadocia.

### Day 2: Underground Cities Of Cappadocia

According to your pick-up time meet with your guide and start your full-day tour. Your tour continues with a visit to Rose Valley , an incredibly unique area of Cappadocia known for its sharp ridges that take on a distinctive pink tint, especially during sunset. This stunning effect is due to the minerals within the sandstone. Next, proceed to Cavusin , a village surrounded by a gradually widening valley known as the Red Valley. The historic houses and famous rock churches of this village were carved directly into massive rock formations. Afterwards, explore Pigeon Valley , which earned its name from the countless man-made dovecotes (pigeon houses) carved into the soft volcanic tuff. It is one of the best spots for walking and hiking in the marvelous Cappadocia region. The journey continues to the Underground Cities , which once served as a refuge for up to 15,000 Christians. These settlements were of enormous value to the development of Christianity, providing shelter and spaces for worship until the end of the 7th century AD. You will witness ancient bedrooms, a church, meeting halls, and food storage rooms within this eight-story city, connected by 30km of corridors. Finally, visit Ortahisar , a town famous for its friendly inhabitants, picturesque stone houses, narrow streets, and lovely churches. The town is named after its castle-like rock formation, which dominates the skyline. After the tour, you will be driven back to your hotel for your overnight stay in Cappadocia.
