# From Pokhara: Poon Hill, Ghandruk & Australian Camp Trek

## About

Day 1: Pokhara → Phedi Drive → Trek to Australian Camp

Morning our guide and driver Pick-up from your hotel in Lakeside, Pokhara, and drive about 45 minutes to Phedi (1,130 m).

From Phedi, start a steep stone-step climb through forest and small villages toward Dhampus Village (1,650 m), offering beautiful views of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna South.

Continue trekking another hour to reach Australian Camp (2,050 m)—a peaceful ridge with 360° Himalayan views.

Enjoy sunset over the Annapurna range.

Overnight at Australian Camp.

Day 2: Australian Camp → Kande Trek → Drive to Ghandruk → Trek to Tadapani

After sunrise views, begin your easy downhill trek to Kande (about 1.5 hours).

Your vehicle will be waiting at Kande for a scenic 2.5–3 hour drive to Ghandruk Village (1,940 m), the famous Gurung cultural village.

Enjoy lunch in Ghandruk, then begin your forest trek to Tadapani.

The trail climbs steadily through dense rhododendron forest with frequent chances to see monkeys and birds.

Arrive at Tadapani (2,630 m) for a stunning sunset over Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre.

Overnight at Tadapani.

Day 3: Tadapani → Ghorepani Trek

Begin trekking through one of the most beautiful rhododendron forests of the region.

The trail descends to a stream and then climbs gradually through Banthanti and Deurali.

Enjoy frequent mountain views and peaceful forest sections.

Continue trekking for 5–6 hours until you reach Ghorepani (2,860 m), a picturesque village surrounded by blue roofs.

Rest early for the next morning’s Poon Hill hike.

Overnight at Ghorepani.

Day 4: Early Morning Hike to Poon Hill → Trek down to Nayapul → Drive to Pokhara

Wake up around 4:30 AM and start a 1-hour uphill walk to Poon Hill (3,210 m).

Enjoy one of Nepal’s best panoramic sunrises, featuring Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, and more.

Return to Ghorepani for breakfast.

Begin your long downhill trek to Ulleri and then continue to Nayapul (6–7 hours total).

Your vehicle will be waiting at Nayapul for a 1.5-hour drive back to Pokhara.

Trip ends in Pokhara
