Start your day with a magical sunrise over the Himalayas!

Your adventure begins bright and early between 4:00–5:00 AM, depending on the season and your hotel location. Our friendly guide and driver will pick you up directly from your hotel and drive you to Nagarkot Hill—a scenic viewpoint perched at 2,195m in the Bhaktapur district, about an hour from Thamel by private car.

From Nagarkot, witness a spectacular sunrise over the Himalayan range, including Annapurna, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, and even Mount Everest on clear days. The hill also offers sweeping views of Nagarkot village, lush forests, and the entire Kathmandu Valley.

After the sunrise, you’ll have the option to enjoy a local breakfast with tea or coffee at a nearby eatery—or choose a hotel breakfast spot if you prefer. If your hotel has provided a packed breakfast, feel free to enjoy it during the hike!

Flexible Hiking Experience – Suitable for Everyone
After breakfast, start your hike toward Changunarayan Temple. This is one of the easiest and most scenic hikes near Kathmandu, perfect for beginners, children, and even seniors. Your private vehicle will follow nearby in case you want a break—so you can hike with confidence.

Hilltop to Changunarayan – ~15 km (full experience)
Regular hiking point to Changunarayan – ~12 km
Telkot to Changunarayan – ~6 km (short & easy)
Hilltop to Telkot – ~9 km

Explore Changu Narayan – Nepal’s Oldest Temple (UNESCO)
At the end of your hike, you can discover Changu Narayan Temple if you like, it is the oldest Hindu temple in Nepal dating back to 3500 AD. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, it features exquisite wood and stone carvings and is surrounded by historical artifacts, statues, and sacred temples like Chinnamasta Temple, known for its animal sacrifices during fulfilled wishes.
