## About

Begin your tour at the Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu site in Kathmandu. Admire the two-tiered pagoda-style main temple with its gold-plated roof and silver doors, surrounded by hundreds of smaller shrines, ashrams, and statues.

Explore the outer complex and observe the main temple and rituals from the eastern bank of the Bagmati River. See the cremation ghats, evening aarti, and sadhus.

Next, head to the Boudhanath Stupa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk clockwise around the stupa, spin the prayer wheels, and dress modestly.

Admire the stupa's design, rich in Buddhist symbolism, representing the path to enlightenment. See the Buddha's eyes painted on all four sides of the stupa's square tower, symbolizing omnipresence, wisdom, and compassion.

Learn about the stupa's symbolism, with the massive base built as a three-dimensional mandala, symbolizing the Buddhist cosmos.
