# Kathmandu: Bouddhanath Stupa Tour with Dinner

**Category:** City Tour
**Location:** Kathmandu, Nepal
**Duration:** 4 hours
**Price:** from USD 90 per participant

## About

Begin with a pickup from your hotel and drive to the Bouddha main gate. Meet your guide, who will introduce you to the history of the stupa, its symbolic mandala design, and its significance to Tibetan Buddhism.

As dusk falls, join the sacred kora (circumambulation) with monks, nuns, and devotees walking clockwise around the stupa. Witness thousands of butter lamps (choemey) lighting up the courtyard—an unforgettable sight as prayer flags flutter above.

Next, visit the rooftop viewpoints surrounding the stupa, such as Himalayan Java Rooftop, Bodhi Grounds, or Flavors Café & Rooftop, which offer panoramic views of the illuminated dome—perfect for photography and reflection.

Conclude your evening with a warm, authentic dinner at a highly rated restaurant inside the Bouddha complex.
