# Kathmandu: A Folk Musical Sightseeing Experience

**Category:** Experience
**Location:** Kathmandu, Nepal
**Meeting point:** Nepal is a land of beauty and rich culture. The Gandharvas are a special community known for playing the sarangi and sharing songs and stories. They once traveled from village to village, spreading news and keeping history alive through music. Today, their way of life is fading due to modern changes and lack of support. Many young Gandharvas are leaving music behind. The “One Day with Gandharva” experience helps keep their tradition alive by connecting visitors with their music and stories. It’s a chance to support their art and discover the soul of Nepal through its living heritage. Bouddhanath Swoyambhunath Gandharva Musician Gandharva Musician
