Begin your day with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dhulikhel, which is approximately 30 kilometers away. On a clear day, the trip to Dhulikhel is picturesque and provides views of the Himalayas. It is Popular hill station Dhulikhel is renowned for its breathtaking vistas of the mountains which include peaks like Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and on clear days, Mount Everest, are widely visible from Dhulikhel. The trek takes four hours and covers around 10 kilometers, with Nabomuddha (1750m) at its highest point. The main draws of the Dhulikhel Namobuddha trekking include views of the Himalayas, Newari settlement, temples, Gumba, and Chaityas.

Take a tour of Dhulikhel, a little village renowned for its rich cultural legacy and Newari architecture. To have a flavor of traditional Nepali life, meander around the little alleyways, stop at the temples and monasteries, and strike up conversations with amiable people. Hike to Namobuddha, a significant Buddhist pilgrimage destination, after taking in Dhulikhel's splendour. The route offers a tranquil diversion from the rush of daily life as it winds past charming villages, verdant farmland, and lush woods. The hike to Namobuddha is moderate and takes about 4-5 hours. The trail winds through forests, fields, and traditional villages, offering beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

When you get at Namobuddha, you will see the stupa and holy monastery positioned on a hill. This is the location where, according to Buddhist tradition, the Buddha offered his own body as a sacrifice to a famished tigress and her pups during a past life. The monastery has a serene aura that is ideal for introspection and meditation. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains may be seen from the monastery.

After our day hike in Namobuddha, we travel back to Kathmandu for an hour and a half to conclude our day hike. It examines the well-known Buddhist sites while providing a lovely, secluded day hike. Therefore, even if you only have one day in Kathmandu, hiking around the city is a terrific experience.
