### Which is the fastest UAE visa route for your situation?
Speed depends on two things: whether you hold a qualifying foreign visa or residence permit, and which airline you fly.

Your situationFastest routePublished timeFeeValid US visa or green card, UK or EU visa or residence permit, or a residence permit from Japan, South Korea, Australia, Canada, Singapore or New ZealandVisa on arrival at any UAE entry pointIssued on arrivalAED 100 (14 days)Same documents, longer trip60-day visa online from ICP2 daysAED 250 + AED 100 smart service feeFlying Emirates, no qualifying visaVFS Global expressWithin 48 hours from submissionINR 9870 (Tourist 30 days)Flying Emirates, not in a hurryVFS Global normal5-6 working daysINR 7735 (Tourist 30 days)Not flying EmiratesUAE airline, hotel or licensed travel agent, or ICP / GDRFA Dubai onlineNot published in our recordVaries by providerUAE embassies do not issue tourist visas, so the Embassy in New Delhi is not a shortcut for a holiday or a family emergency.

### How does the visa on arrival work for Indians?
For anyone who qualifies, this is the quickest route because nothing is filed before you fly. Since 13 February 2025, according to the UAE Embassy in New Delhi, it also covers Indian ordinary-passport holders with residence permits from Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea and Singapore, alongside US visa or green card holders and UK or EU visa or residence permit holders.

- Your Indian ordinary passport must be valid at least 6 months.
- GDRFA Dubai asks for the qualifying visa or permit to be valid at least 6 months as well.
- The visa gives 14 days for AED 100 and can be extended once for 14 days; GDRFA Dubai lists the extension at AED 250 plus 5% VAT and AED 20.
- ICP's overstay fine for these visas is AED 50 per day.
If you would rather hold approval before flying, the GDRFA Dubai online service gives a 48-hour expected completion time, and ICP's 60-day visa takes 2 days. The 60-day visa is single entry and non-extendable, and you must enter within 30 days of issue.

### How fast is the VFS express service for Emirates passengers?
VFS Global in India handles Dubai visas for travellers flying Emirates, and the visa category follows your Emirates ticket. Express is processed within 48 hours from submission for transit and tourist visas. Normal processing takes 5-6 working days from submission, excluding Saturday, Sunday and UAE holidays. Fees on the VFS visa-type page include service charge and tax:

### What can delay an urgent application at VFS?
Express speed only helps once the file is accepted. These requirements catch rushed applicants:

- Eligibility: you must meet one criterion. Either you travelled abroad at least once in the last 3 years or hold a valid visa for the USA, UK, Schengen, EU, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Canada or Japan; or you show the last 2 years' Form 16 or ITR with gross income above INR 2 lakhs a year, or INR 5 lakhs or more in bank or post office FDs; or you have an invitation from an immediate family member living in the UAE.
- Ticket: a confirmed return or onward Emirates ticket, with your name and UAE entry and exit highlighted in yellow.
- Hotel: a confirmed voucher whose dates match your flights, with no more than two bookings. Staying with family instead needs the host's tenancy contract or Ejari, or title deed (two or more bedrooms), and UAE resident card.
- Photo: coloured, 2 x 2 inches, plain white shadow-free background. Polaroids and ordinary printer prints are not accepted.
- Passport: valid at least 6 months at the time of travel. Names with special characters such as brackets are not accepted.
- Minors and students: Emirates cannot sponsor them unless they travel with parents.
Budget for the downside too. The visa fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, and a cancellation costs INR 3465 per visa.

### Is there a fast route for job hunting or a new job?
GDRFA Dubai's job seeker visit visa has a 48-hour expected completion time. It costs AED 200 for 60 days, AED 300 for 90 days or AED 400 for 120 days, plus 5% VAT and a refundable AED 1,000 security amount. You need MOHRE skill level 1, 2 or 3 (or a degree from a world top-500 university within the last 2 years) and a bachelor's degree. For an actual job, your employer applies: ICP lists 2 days for the work entry permit, and MOHRE's Work Bundle takes about 5 working days.

### What should you avoid when time is short?
- Relying on a US visa or residence permit with less than 6 months' validity left.
- Asking the Embassy for a tourist visa. It does not issue them.
- Booking a non-Emirates flight and then trying the VFS route, which works from your Emirates itinerary.
- Overstaying. ICP's fine is AED 50 per day.
- Paying anyone other than a UAE airline, hotel, licensed travel agent, VFS or ICP/GDRFA directly.
Yatra For Fun's India office in Gurugram prepares flight reservations, hotel bookings, travel itineraries and cover letters for visa files, from INR 1,000 for a flight reservation to INR 3,000 for the full set with a cover letter.
