The amounts below are as published on the official sources, checked on 15 October 2026. The euro figure is the fixed fee; the rupee figure is the Embassy's conversion, which it revises every month.

### What is the full Czech visa fee table for Indians in 2026?
The Embassy's consular and visa fees page lists these charges for applicants in India:

The table does not list a higher price for a multiple-entry visa or for a business purpose.

### Why does the rupee amount change from month to month?
The Embassy states that its fees are updated every month according to the current exchange rate. A figure such as 9 800 INR is therefore a snapshot, while 90 EURO stays the same. VFS listed the adult visa at INR 9800 and the child visa at INR 4900 when the fees were checked.

For long-term applications handled at the Embassy counter, card payments are collected in CZK and cash is taken in INR. If you plan to pay in cash, check the current month's INR amount on the Embassy page just before your appointment.

### How much does VFS Global charge on top of the visa fee?
VFS Global charges a service fee of INR 2180 per applicant, inclusive of SGST at 9% and CGST at 9%. It is paid at the time of booking the appointment and is non-refundable, even if you later cancel or the visa is refused.

One caution: this VFS figure could not be re-confirmed at our latest check, so verify the service charge on the booking screen. Short-term applications can be lodged at 15 VFS centres: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune. The Lucknow and Bhubaneswar centres opened on 1 August 2026.

### Who pays a reduced fee or no visa fee?
- Children from 6 and below 12 pay 45 EURO / 4 900 INR. The Embassy table gives no separate rate for children under 6, so ask VFS before booking for a younger child.
- Family members of EU or Czech nationals are exempted from the visa fee if they provide the relevant documents at submission. They can also lodge a Schengen application directly at the Embassy by appointment booked via newdelhi.consulate@mzv.gov.cz.
- Everyone at VFS pays the INR 2180 service charge, including fee-exempt family members.

### What do Czech study and work visas cost?
Long-stay applications are not lodged at VFS. They are submitted in person at the Embassy in New Delhi after an e-mail appointment process.

- Study: a long-term visa or long-term residence permit for study costs 2 500 CZK / 11 100 INR. The Ministry of the Interior also expects proof of funds; one year of study (1 September to 31 August) needs CZK 115,810 and one semester CZK 78,250.
- Seasonal employment: the long-term visa rate of 2 500 CZK / 11 100 INR applies.
- Employee card, EU Blue Card or intra-company transfer: 5000 CZK / 22300 INR. Since October 2025, employee cards are accepted only within one of the government's Economic Migration Programs.

### What does a refusal cost you?
The VFS service charge is non-refundable. If your short-stay visa is refused, annulled or revoked, the Embassy charges 80 EURO / 8 700 INR for a request to review the reasons. The Embassy's fee page does not state that the visa fee itself is returned after a refusal.

For context, European Commission data show that 20.1% of Schengen visa applications lodged at Czech consulates in India were not issued in 2025 (5,501 of 27,388), compared with 21.5% in 2024. These figures cover all short-stay purposes and are not a prediction for any single applicant.

### Which other costs should you budget for?
- Travel medical insurance valid for all Schengen countries with at least 30,000 EUR cover for the entire trip; VFS publishes the approved insurers list.
- Two recent colour photographs on a white background, not older than six months.
- Bank paperwork: original statements for the last three months, stamped and signed by the bank.
- Travel and lodging proof for the whole itinerary, such as flight and hotel reservations.
A multiple-entry visa does not carry a separate fee in the Embassy table. Under the EU rules of April 2024, Indians living in India who have obtained and lawfully used two visas within the previous three years qualify for a two-year multiple-entry visa.
